Curious if there's anyone out there with a good, survivable dps build that uses PA. Going for a theme, trying to avoid munitions as much as possible in favor of the Energy attacks (Chest Beam, ETC) Preferably without Energy Shield or Phalanx Defense System.
Again, it doesn't have to be GREAT, just Survivable with ok - decent DPS. Any help is greatly appreciated! Powers from other sets, Provided they are energy based and blasty and don't use a weapon (Force Bolts would be acceptible, ETC) That's fine. I'm just having trouble getting the hang of this set so any advice would be fantastic. Thanks in advance!
I don't have any good beam-only builds, but I can offer some advice on defense. Dodge + damage resistance provides great defense. Dex as a Primary Stat offers some nice Dodge/Avoid specializations. The Masterful Dodge active defense works really well with Bountiful Chi Resurgence which is a self-heal. Additionally, take a primary defense gear that provide an Avoid bonus and put a Gamblers Gem in it for the Dodge bonus. Primary gear starts to have gem slots after level 20.

Some basics about builds: each build needs a block, an energy unlock, an active defense, an active offense, a slotted passive, a self-heal, and a Form in addition to several attack powers.
Fire All Weapons in the best beam damage aoe, but it has a cool-down time. Plasma Beam also does area damage but in a small cylinder and its targetting takes some time to learn. Personally, I prefer using MicroMunitions and Minigun.
