PTS update FC.31.20121030.11
This build is scheduled to hit PTS by 6:30pm Pacific on 11/13/12
Greetings!
We're updating PTS with the upcoming update build to test stability, as well as verifying a few bug fixes we addressed following last week's Live push.
Please format any bugs you find in the following format: Bug
Where it happens
What happens
Prototype Hawkwings
-Prototype Hawkwings have had their speed increased.
-Prototype Hawkwings boost now last 10 seconds and increases speed by 70 (up from 15).
Costumes
-We have restored missing geometry for Bubble Helmet heads, Worm Head, and Floating Brain costume pieces
Powers
- Fixed issues that would cause cylinder-based vehicle attack powers to target/destroy objects outside the intended range.
This sounds good; I may even port one of my hawkwinged characters over to help test it out (I assume the reason it's going to the PTS is to check and see if the speed upgrade is going to be game-breaking or not...) Thanks for taking the time to listen to your players. It's a step in the right direction.

I just tried out the prototypes on PTS and, although not as fast as they were originally, they at least feel useful again. This will be enough to shut me up about the matter, assuming it makes it to Live. Thanks for listening.

It's been there since On Alert first launched, I did report it on July when the devs asked for the top 2 issues for players and it seems it's been forgotten (like most bugs in this game).

Why does this need testing on the PTS? Somebody please enlighten me.

They did say that server stability was an issue with the vehicles before. Amping up the speed and putting them on the PTS allows them to see if the servers can handle the amped speed...

This is a problem that has been affecting characters since long before the implementation of vehicles. For months now (has it been over a year ?)
The patch notes specifically state that the bug is being addressed for vehicles. Is it being addressed for characters as well ? Or are bug fixes something that have to be purchased in the C-Store or gambled for through lock-boxes ?
So wait - they fixed it on vehicles but not player powers?
*facedesk*
Can that get fixed with player powers as well? Please?
What particularly annoys me about this is it all bugged at once and there is clearly an underlying coding mistake they should have pinpointed in order to fix this.
But instead they fixed the problem instead of the source, and will have to go through this again, first when they sort out the rest of player powers and secondly when that original mistake causes more bugs.

Deliciously nutritious!

Interrupt powers such as Back Hand Chop and Ice Cage with Subzero Cell Block Advantage, are deactivating IDF and Mental Discipline Forms
Aside from this, I am sure many pro vehicle heroes will be happy to hear this news as well as a certain Dr.Cerebellum

Nice boost there! Not as fast as before, but that was expected. Plus we still have Speed boost mods...
Thanks! I look forward to this making it Live!
M-O-O-N, that spells @Rhyatt

Yeah, I am hoping both these bugs are being worked on and make it out either by week's end or next week.
As well as PTS character transfer, which to my knowledge isnt working yet

I don't even own a Hawkwing, so yeah, I'm happy for those who got at least some of their wanted feature back.
Better then nothing.

'Caine, miss you bud. Fly high.
/agreed.
I hate using FC in a mission where destructable objects can explode to agro foes..soooo annoying!
Plus it makes no sense,hmm..perhaps that extra damage should be added onto the cylindrical attacks
