This game needs more b00ms, pew pews, and explosions

I think we need more pew pew weapons besides just Pulse Beam Rifle. How about more explosives? Big b00ms, maybe even mini-nukes. How about bigger cannons? :) Discuss. ^_~

    Yes all the cars go "KABOOM" while all the big trucks go "poof", wtf?
    Load those trucks with volatile chemicals with random effects, maybe
    it 'burst alert buffs' the mob hit by the wacky blast or turns them into mutated monsters.
    At the very least truck explosions should toss some people around.
    I'm guessing they are thinking "Diesel fuel doesn't really explode" but a trailer full of dynamite does!

    I think the explosions are one of the addictive elements in this game.
    I'm disappointed the moving vehicles take zero effect from all the power thats splashed
    on them. But its better than TSW where crashed cars have their alarms turned
    on but parked cars don't and they never even get dented by enough power to take down Cthulhu. Lame.

    I think this is a good thread to repost an idea I had for Munitions, some time ago. It would take a passive power like this to make explosion-themed builds actually effective:

    Demolition Expertise (Tier 1)
    You are REALLY good at breaking, burning and blowing things up!
    Set: Munitions
    Typ: Slotted Passive
    Animation: None.

    + Can be slotted in an Offensive or Balanced passive power slot.
    + Greatly increases your Crushing, Fire and Particle Damage. This increase scales with your Super Stats.
    + Increases your resistance to Crushing, Fire and Particle Damage. These resistances scale with your Super Stats.
    + Generates Energy when you hit more than one target with a ranged Crushing, Fire or Particle Damage attack (not counting DoT effects!). The amount of energy gained scales with your Ego or Strength, whichever is higher. This effect can occur once every 4 seconds.

    Advantages
    + Rank 2 (2 AP)
    + Rank 3 (2 AP)
    + Unshakable (2 AP) - While having Demolition Expertise slotted, your Knock Resistance is increased with every stack of Enrage, Concentration or Focus, whichever you have more stacks of.


    I'm also thinking about an "Energy Core" passive power that buffs raygun and laser sword themed builds, but I'm not far with the concept right now.

    This is why I love Earth Powerset, more booms, shakes, crack, etc.. I love all the screen shakes and rocks flying about everywhere, I'd say it's my favourite.

    YES!!! MOAR BOOMS FOR THE BOOM GOD!!

    Also, more shcticks, the funny images that telegraphs the incomming attacks from the boss!! Like Bamph, slurp and kabloom!!

    Oooohhh, why dont they have this, ALSO, this would be awesome for a fire/earth build, lots of smashing and burning, like a lava titan or something. So much sizzling and crushing e.e

    Explosions are cool. There needs to be more explosions, and not just for weapons either. When you Roomsweeper someone, the ground should freakin' EXPLODE when they hit it. Same with walls, etc. If someone's wearing some sort of power armor, it should EXPLODE when they die. Any power with even the most remote reason for causing an explosions should cause one. One thing this game could use more of is a healthy dose of ZOMGWTFACTION!

    Well, we have pulse beam cannon and the sonic pistol - how about a pulse pistol and a few related power to flesh it out? Pulse rifle can also use a few more powers to flesh it out. I'd also like to see a mortar power for munitions. An under-rifle grenade launcher attack would be cool as well. I'd also like to see a few powers similar to sonic device and toxic nanites, but for munitions - something like incendiary ammo, cryo ammo, etc.

    We have a grenade attack for munitions - how about a sticky bomb attack which works similarly to exploding arrow w/ where's the kaboom - it'd have a slight delay then detonate. We have the hawkwing strafing run attack in gadgeteering - how about a bombing run power for munitions - it could use the same effect as the airstrike you can call down in the Stronghold prison area.

    Gadgeteering should have another robot summon power which basically calls up exploding drones that fly toward their target and explode.

    I also like to see the various energy protector sets get melee versions of their powers - fire melee, electric melee, wing melee, ice melee, force melee, etc.
