i dont really feel like a super-hero at times just going to alerts, and the same old missions i've done a million times. maybe if i had some purse-shatchers/high speed car chases to track down in, idk maybe an open world type alert, i'd have that nostalgic feeling like spider-man.....just something to think about, might even help keep lowbies outta smash alerts

Maybe when we get the Speederbikes, we could have a chases in Monster Island jungle. Speeding thru forest of giant trees, chasing VIPER soldiers in Speederbikes.
Or gunning down the pursesnatchers with our Hovertank cannons.

Save citizens of the usual Help a Citizen kind.
Also there's some citizen brutality in Downtown being dealt out by demons.
Cops could always use help with the destroids.
Lemurians are always having a picnic of evil intent.
There's a bunch of PSI guys that need help.
Blood moon was full of 'open world alerts', rushing to the aid of other heroes and all that.

A nice mix of minor and major crimes as well as supervillains would be good.
We could have to deal with:

    Stolen car.
    Kidnapping.
    High-rise hostage taking.
    Jewelry store robbery.
    Smugglers.
    A riot.
People trapped in a burning building.
    Reactor heading to meltdown.
    Sinking ship.
    Art-thieves breaking into a gallery.
Stolen briefcase full of high-security documents.

    And lots more.

An update to "Help A Citizen" missions would fill that void. Its what most people thought the Alerts were going to be at first.

I am so signed for this you wouldn't believe.
Wallet stealing/purse stealing would be easy enough, I think, based on what people have said about the game engine's limitations. Have a wandering citizen and a wandering crook on each street. If crook comes within range of citizen, crook enters 'robbery mode', where they menace the citizen until the citizen makes an emote to give the wallet/purse to the crook. Then the crook runs away, while the citizen yells "that man stole my wallet!". Then, after a minute of this, the citizen resumes its cycle, as does the crook. If the crook is beaten, then the civillian, if nearby, will give its gratitude before despawning so it respawns at the same time as the crook.

This is a pretty great idea. It's reusable content and it might not be that hard to do! I dig it!

See, one of the biggest complaints I've heard about the new Amazing Spider-Man game is that it doesn't have repeatable city missions. It's a fantastic game, I had a lot of fun with it (and the feeling of playing Spidey is oh so right), but I have that same farkin' criticism. It doesn't have replayable city missions, like stopping muggers, snatchers, and car chases.

But the thing is is that it does have them in limited supply, and they are more fun than the Spider-Man 2 variants. For some reason they just put a cap on them between missions, which is just ... silly. But Cryptic could look at the Amazing Spider-Man to see what they're doing. And try to copy some of that.

We could also use some stunt-like stuff, again, taking a cue from ASM. I mean, this is a Universe where superheroes are common, common enough to have a club of their own in a major metropolitan centre. Considering that... there are probably TV shows where superheroes get roped in to do that kind of thing.

What if there were missions dedicated to different kinds of travel powers?

So all of this could make for some fun, repeatable content. Yeah, this is a pretty groovy idea.

Purse snatching is fine, as long as it doesn't turn into something that looks bad like the Tsoo and a citizen playing tug of war with a large teal crystal.
    Brou in Cryptic games.

We can also add little kids with red balloons that they accidentally let go off and we have to retrieve.

Or the good ol' fashioned cat-in-a-tree scenario:

"Mommy, Mommy! Frisky was stuck in a tree! And this man swooped out of the sky and gave him to me!"

"Haven't I told you to stop telling lies?? ::SLAP!::

Then again, in this universe we would be denied little gems like that.
