What if the instaces of Caprice were merged...

Here's one for all you RP'ers out there.

What if Club Caprice were to have all three of its instances merged together to create one giant instance. Would this help or doom RP?

Personally I feel a more united RP community is better, and the merging of instances would be a huge step towards that. However, it could also have an effect for trolling. For better or worse.

Any thoughts?

    I wouldn't mind, if however, Caprice was expanded and had multiple floors.
    Caprice holding 100 people with its current size would be VERY crowded.

    There's some of 'those' RPers that I intentionally avoid. Not to mention 'LOL I ARE DEEMUNZ LOOKIN FOR GURLFRAND AND I ARE FUTA' does to my text box what a monkey does to his cage an hour after he eats chipotle.

    if caprice were merged,I'd have to say that it would need way more places/floors in it,the average 50-100 players in all the zones would be a bit crowded,especially for those who want to RP,maybe though,instead of splitting caprice up,make a couple new RP instances,ones tailored to each main type of hero;like metas,sci-fi,military,(I think caprice kind of covers supernatural heroes/villains already),and basically inform players of this types of zones,so they can RP with their type of heroes,or basically inform them of every one and which type it mostly caters to.But in the idea of adding caprice stuff,extra floors,and maybe have a room like a penthouse in which the skyline of MC is viewed(make it a bit more ambient too,with maybe a sort of strobe light,since it is a club after all)

    I wouldn't mind the instance cap increased to 40. I've mulled making suggestions for a revamped Caprice, but I couldn't ask the devs for one in good conscience until we start getting new zones or the Foundry.

    Well, so far I've found three possible definitions; one is hardly something to brag about, one is the Federal Unemployment Tax Act, and one - well, if they mean "futanari", they should say "infant birds with Richards", shouldn't they? (That and they should restrict themselves to playing anime games, because Rakshasa and his Mind Worms are as close as we come to hentai 'round here...)

    The total area is pretty small so leaving the limit at 30 players per instance would be the best thing to do.

    Actually, I don't think the zone itself would be crowded. I go in there from time to time and there's alawys a fair sized area of it that's unoccupied whether it be the bar on the far side of the dancefloor, the chairs by the fountain, or wherever. The problem is that the chat windows of players would get VERY crowded and would turn into a nonstop scroll from all the people chatting in local. You can pick up posts from people using local chat from a pretty good distance away. If this was reduced in Caprice, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to just merge them. If it was left as is, I'd have to advise against it.

    Well, y'know, unless you're into that sort of thing, I guess.

    It's a taste that's apparently been around for a while - I used to run across such images on the 'Net long before it became popular for otaku to use bad Japanese in place of simple English.

    The only thing I find alarming about it (besides the fact that someone found it necessary to abbreviate the term - do you really find yourself typing it that often??) is the fact that in Japanese, they invented a one-word term to describe the concept, one that isn't borrowed from another language, which usually means it's a concept they've had around for a good long while...

    Well, it started off as a thread about merging instances of Club Caprice - which, as far as I can tell, is still about transgendered people from Japan, so I guess it's still on-topic. :wink:

    That's exactly what the club and the RP community needs, another negative association to give the community a bad name. I don't think I've ever come across a thread regarding Caprice that didn't have this.

    I wouldn't worry Jenny he made himself look like an idiot, saying he replied to me a transgendered person who was born in Osaka.

    What can I say theres fail and then theres EPIC FAIL :D

    Are you part of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants or something? Some kind of nefarious propagator of malicious mental memes. And now I'm thinking of a mutant with 4chan powers. Damn it. MAKE IT STOP.

    ANYWAY!!!!!

    I think that an expanded version of Caprice with various floors would be awesome. Personally, I'm not even against erotic RP, but the problem is is that the place doesn't really accommodate for it. What would be helpful is to have a swinger's lounge, and private rooms that just two people can check into, like with the duel arenas (I'm not joking). That would separate the erotic and non-erotic RPers.

    So that's that problem solved. Now, furthermore, you could have an underground club scene there which is closer to the Minefield from Vibora Bay, just make the entrance a little bit hidden, so it feels a bit like an exclusive club. Of course, you can tell anyone where it is, and there are no actual restrictions, but it would be fun to have something like that.

    But yeah, Caprice expansions could definitely be helpful. And once it's been expanded, you could then merge the instances.
