Don't you think it's enough already? I get IT ok, you are a PvP fanatic and can't live without it or something but it's enough. Who are you exactly to tell people what to do? If they want to sub or not it's their business not yours.
Stop with all the Q.Q and realize that things are the way they are. I would also like a lot of things to be different but I'm not constantly whining about it.
You should know why people don't bother seriously PvPing (except for the very few....). I'd reefer you to Xavori's thread about "PvP and honor". No matter what the devs do to PvP it's the people that are the root cause. It's all the obsessive PvPers that hunt/farm every new player in PvP until he/she gives up on it + the FOTM builds those PvPers run (nobody likes to loose Xeno, you should know that :rolleyes: ). Rewards won't change that. So let's give it a rest. What you are doing here is asking for stuff to be done to PvP because you don't want to be bothered to PvE. That's your agenda and I don't believe that the DEVS will perceive it as sufficiently important to warrant development time.
You realize that a pvper usually runs around with r7/8/9 gems?? We farm aloooot more fusion mats which is considered pve, than a regular pve player does. Certain people are spending days farming mods to get an extra edge in pvp.

I could say the same thing to you. I said he does not want to PvE I never said he does not PvE. You don't seem to grasp the difference but there is one.
That just proves my point about how obsessive some PvPers are. How do you expect people to want to PvP that are alcoholics for example (CO is full of those)? I'd suggest you to read what I wrote and then read what you wrote lol. It makes sense you want an edge but the problem is still people. I can guarantee you that no matter the level of skill at some point it's ALL about the BUILD you run.
Lets stop right there. You can NEVER blame the people for playing the game as intended or as created. We call that, "playing the game". If the developers allow PvP to go on for this long in this weak state, then obviously it was meant to be. You should be mad at them, not turning your sword on someone who is passionate and trying to get something done, even if his approach is over zealous.
So STC, MiniMines, WTK etc. were as intended? What about the recent AoPM nerf? Should I go on?
In essence NO. PvP is a place where you see the mistakes/oversights of the Devs. You are making the assumption that if it's in the game it's as intended. Well that's not the case. I could refer you to the GW2 ban fiasco that happened because people were just using the mechanics of the game :rolleyes:. Yeah, even if it's there it does not mean you have to abuse it you know.

So you're going to blame players for the developers mistakes?
So you are placing the blame on developers because people can't refrain from breaking game mechanics?
Because it's not his decision to make if people want to play this game or not and for what reasons they want to play the game. Let people get their own opinions about PvE and PvP and see if they like it the way it is or they don't.
But this is a game forum and as we know most players dont use the forum .
No Xeno's post was more of a message to the devs like all the other posts about this subject he has made.

If pvp was more active, I might bother slotting r7s and all the pretties, but there's no motivation. The core build plays a far bigger role in your kill to death ratio, and the difference from upgrading from simple r5s is minimal. Most pvpers don't put in extensive amounts of time in pve (or in game for that matter) as there's little incentive.
Chastising players for their ability to maximize pvp performance is a sure sign of someone who should never speak about pvp. In a competitive environment, you put yourself on an "even" playing field. Part of competition is your gear and setup, but the more important factor is how well you know how to use it.
On the other hand, there are certain aspects that can be inherently broken, like how imbue has had to take a completely different design as apparently just fixing the bugs aren't feasible.
Not all pvpers act the same way, and assuming that all can be characterized in one category is just clear bigotry.
The majority of pvp took place pre-alert as they're was actual incentive to pvp. People wanted the rewards, and competed. Some simply did it for the rewards, and some started for the rewards and found they actually enjoyed it.
Post-alert there's effectively no reward other than whatever enjoyment you can get from the experience. I even have a post in the HG forums listing kill counts and the variance between pre/post alert is undeniable.
And the devs made it clear that they won't focus on PvP (at least for now). There is no point in making dozens of Q.Q threads about this. If this was really a message to the devs then the devs already answered it a long time ago. At some point people have to understand that they got an answer to this issue whether they like it or not the answer WAS given.
You act as if xeno posting this is making people not sub lol. He's stating an opinion that alot of people agree with at this current time due to how the playstlye has been treated with on alert. People can ether agree with that opinion or post against it as you have but no one is being made to do anything.

Crush trash talks on several channels about PvP as if he's in charge of PvP and then suddenly PvP gets totally borked THEN they say they aint working on PvP for a bit and you expect Xeno NOT to QQ about it?

And you act as if Xeno posting this can't lead to people not subbing. You =/= Others. There is no good interpretation of this thread. It's just another thread where people go over the same issue again and again and again even though they got their answer to it.
Ok were getting a bit ratty with each other I like Nightrod he's a sound guy so lets chill everyone. People normally QQ like this when the answer is wrong. And this answer is very very wrong.
Think about reading through Xeno's main thread on the issue how many people that HATE each other are agreeing on this subject.
For such a strange phenomenon to happen something must be truly buggered.

*actually you know what nvm. I does not matter what I think because in the end I don't decide anything about CO. If people feel better by constantly complaining and making the game look worse than it is go ahead do so. Make people that never tried CO not do so in the future as well. I have my own issues with CO but what I want is for more people to play/pay this game so we can get more devs so we can get more content so we can eventually all be happy (wishful thinking on my part).
It can very well lead to that but only if they chose(keyword) to not cause Xeno made them. Also when and where did we get any answer as to why the devs did not follow through with what they said for pvp or why they havent fixed bugs for over a year? If you have a link I would love to see it!!!
No currency update
Only two new pieces of gear all other gear removed
Gear under all vendors when they should only be under primary
Bash cables still distorted (Brou has a pic of how they should look , hope he posts it for those who dont know)
SH Turrets still not fixed
Q's still not reviewed (this causes nothing to pop with the exception of bash)
Acclaim not listed under currency tab (all other currency is there but you have to go to hero game vendors to see your acclaim)
list goes on...
I love champs but if they keep this up it wont be long before people start posting these long standing issues on other game forums etc.. causing bad publicity and maybe even hurting their bottom line but hopefully they will actually speak up and address the issues before people start doing this. People in game have already mentioned it!
I have seen with my own eyes Crush mocking pvpers at first I thought its was all just jokes, but consider this, mocking PvPers on one channel yet promising the world to them on another. What does that look like to you?
And you are missing one major thing. People CANT buy this game anymore its free to play. So Xeno telling people not to buy it will not affect this games sales in the slightest. You worry to much ^_^

Wait, you are expecting devs to "follow through" with what they say? I find that a bit naive (no offense intended). It's not like as a dev they can tell what the future will bring. One day it could be on the agenda the other it could be gone. The reason why they don't give an answer is the same as the one for the "handling of region banned players" namely they don't want some sort of uproar. It all makes sense if you think about it.
Like he probably vented out some frustration on the matter? I might be biased here but imagine promising something to players then your boss tells you NO CAN DO. How would that make you look? Not to good I guess. He might have mocked people but I don't think Crush is a bad person. Stress/Pressure can make good people do bad things. **** happens you know.
Well actually you can since FF (Gold) is what this game is about. Being Silver is like playing any other MMO out there with classes.

Actually TT has said the vet players from the region banned areas wont be kicked and will still be able to play but no new players from those areas will be able to play. We have an answer on the region issue. He was speaking truths my pals from Russia are still quite happily playing. There was uproar and uproar got results of sorts.
If uproar about PvP can get sort of results again then that will be something and something is better than nothing.

My point is that they only give an answer once they have a solution. Should have mentioned it I guess. So until they have "a solution" (this could mean anything from time to code to whatever) to PvP they probably won't give an answer as to why they did not do what they promised. The uproar did probably nothing, it's most likely the legal aspects that made they take this route.
I can see were your coming from. BUT all the pvpers are really asking is the equation for the numbers for their queues to ping to be rolled back to pre alert maths. That isnt much to ask for.

Shouldn't advertise something as part of the onlert package if you arent going to do it. I believe thats false advertisement.
You act they way he did towards customers in any other business it gets you fired or comes with some kind of consequence. When you interact with your customers you are always supposed to be professional. He could very well be a great person etc.. that doesnt change what he said, regardless why he said those things it was still unprofessional.

Are you sure you would like him fired (think of the current number of CO devs)? Crush has done some good work for CO. Are you really really sure that firing him would be in CO's best interest because IMO it would NOT. You know, I'm not sure if you are working or not but I can assure you that it's impossible to be 100% professional under all and any circumstances that can occur. Sometimes you slip, it sux but it's not the end of the world.
It's easy to forget the good for the bad. Crush has done good work for CO and even if he slipped or flipped the main point is that he helps make CO better.
Not saying that I want him fired at all just saying there are repercussions for actions like that and that they should not just be looked over. You are right, sometimes you slip and when you do you get in trouble for it then move on etc.. but you dont just slip and the manager etc.. go "oh he just insulted part of our customer base no big". In this economy I dont want anyone to be out of a job because as im sure you know its rough out there.
He has done some great things for CO but he has also done some pretty crappy things. You get credit for the good and bad that you do anywhere. Take responsibility for it, own it then say how your going to fix it. When you mess up you correct the issue and move forward hopefully with a better understanding you don't just remain silent.
Well the "boss" could have told him to "keep his mouth shut" on PvP issues. I'm sure there were repercussions for Crush it's just that we don't see them. You can't expect him to talk if he was (most probably) told not to. I'm pretty sure his boss told him not to respond to any PvP related issues anymore because of the "incident". It makes a lot of sense if you think about it.
GC has done stuff for CO, but he has also mocked PvPers in his in-game channel. It makes it hard to gauge Cryptic's overall sincerity to its player-base when you have conflicting behavior like this.
Ya that does makes sense there but you would still think that someone would give a status update.
Personally (based solely on his forum posts) I'm starting to view Xeno more as a troll than a valid voice of the pvp community his threads seem now to be 99% percent moan.
No. And I seriously doubt you understand the history here or have read these posts at all.
I just want what was promised, what I paid for and for the rest of the PVP community. You can only play the politically correct non-aggressive approach for so long. All that did was get us mocked and excluded by the devs. Example: I made a legit post, asking politely for the Devs to look at the issues of excluding PVP from "On-Alert" 3 days later and after almost 3,000 views, 10 pages of support replies it was locked and moved to the Suggestions Box to die. I wonder why...
Another Example would be Crush himself telling PVP folks these things were going to happen telling them to spend all their Acclaim because PVP rewards would convert to Questionite and then within the same breath tell another group of people that we are not important and nothing will be done for PVP. And what happened, everyone spent their acclaim because Crush told them too, it was going away anyways. Then that SOB hiked the prices for the two pieces of gear he did put on the vendor for acclaim SO now nobody could afford the gear and the conversion to Questionite never happend like he said he was going to do.
That Sir, by definition of actions, is a Troll. To have the balls to mock us in Game after fcking us really seals the deal.

For awhile Gorge W Bush was the the best known North American didnt make him the voice of North America.
