I know that Sentinel Aura is still a good power even after the "nerf", but TWO powers that I need for my build, Rejuvenated AND Wither, don't seem to be working when I test them.
Are these known bugs that they are working on? That's a lot of broken-ness all on one tree! Unless you're just willing to take it for the extra healing of SA, it breaks the whole tree!
(end frustrated rant--sorry)
So, I guess the advice I'm really asking for from those of you with experience with CO (I'm still fairly new) is, should I just go ahead and take Rejuvenated and Wither (since they are integral to my build and how I want it to work) and trust that they will be fixed soon, or is it potentially just not viable for me to include them in my building process right now because they won't be fixed any time soon?
Thanks

Rejuvinated, first, only works with one thing in the entire game, the advantage on Vala's Light, which causes it to heal over time, this power is therefore the only ACTIVE heal over time in the whole game.
Secondly, Wither works, but only for the duration of the hold on the target, so if it immediately breaks from damage, boop, done, there was 5% damage boost or whatever for that single hit that broke the hold.
Snark never dies.
So, Rejuvenated doesn't work with HoT's like BCR, eh? And that's "working as intended"? That's just... weird. Ah, well, gonna have to burn a power slot on an Energy Unlock. Bummer.
And Wither is just for the span of the hold itself? that's WAI also? That's not so much weird as lame.
So... either they're not thinking things through, or they REALLY want to make sure this tree isn't too useful to anyone but support. Well, at least now I know.
New question, then. I've heard that "Eternal Spring" doesn't work on critical heals to yourself (more evidence that they don't want non-support to get too much from the tree), but does "Moment of need" at least increase critical heals to self?
Thanks again!
As for eternal spring, i couldn't tell ya, sorry, heals that can actually crit are usually so far behind the non-crit heals that i never bother with them. (Iniquity lol)
Snark never dies.
Basically, I have to take the Sentinel Tree for my build, because I really need that regen from Sentinel Aura, and my build is working SO GREAT with it, so I don't want to give it up or totally rebuild.
But, I want to try to get at least SOMETHING worthwhile out of the rest of the (broken @&$&#) Sentinel Tree. So, since I evidently can't use Rejuvenated OR Wither OR Eternal Spring, I'm hoping at least "Moment of Need" will give me better crit heals on "Enraged" heal ticks from stacks or BCR ticks or Resurgence or SOMETHING.
Basically, if I'm a Might melee DPS/Tank who is GOING to take Sentinel Aura (non-negotiable, it's for theme and it's doing awesome things for my particular build), how can I make the best of a bad thing out of the rest of the Sentinel tree .
So, any ideas on how best squeeze something of worth for my build out of the rest of the Sentinel tree would be greatly appreciated .
Critical chance scales off dex and Severity no longer scales directly off anything, there are specs in several primary stat trees that will cause them to scale off your super stats and several more specs in the role trees that will increase base severity. There is also the silver recognition vendor primary offense gear which will offer bonus severity or crit chance, as well as Core MODs with + critical strike or severity on them.
However, only direct active heals (with the exception of Iniquity) can critically heal. Things like Bionic shielding, Bountiful Chi Resurgence, etc... That passively heal you or others over time cannot crit.
Snark never dies.
Crit chance scales off of your Dexterity stat directly (how much scales with level) as well as a whole bunch of stat/spec trees, items, directly boosting it, and other things. NOTE: You do NOT need Dex to get a high crit chance (I have roughly a 35% chance at level 40 with 20 Dex and 39% when I use my AoE powers).
Crit severity mostly scales off of stat/spec trees (like how the Vindicator tree for example can give up to 15% severity with putting 3 points there), and starts at 50%.
And most heals that you apply to other players have a chance to crit. Normally the ones that can't crit say so in the description of the power.

1) to take Torment to at least slightly lengthen the Stun on my Mighty Leap (form 1.7 to almost two whole seconds! :P)
2) take Wither so that at least if I hit that stunned opponent I will do a little extra damage on that one hit
3) take Moment of Need so as to get a slightly better crit-heal chance on Resurgence (but not my BCR or anything else)
Does that sound about right for a "wring-at-least-a-little-benefit-out-of-the-rest-of-the-tree" strategy for a Might DPS/Tank looking for survivability and damage? This may all sound silly, but I'm dead set on Sentinel Aura for theme, so I have no choice but basically take the lemons and make the best lemon-aid that I can out of them.
Did I miss anything?
Edit: PS- Tested Wither. No icon, but it SEEMED to increase damage a bit. Hard to tell, but it seemed to.
... What? I was curious about this to and if it's true, then Grim has wasted 3 Spec points.

He has Sentinel Aura and I thought that count.
I take this quote from a review that I agree with.
"customisation is so linear; everyone is after the optimal dps:survivability ratio with 0 reliance on other players = autonomous gameplay... Players don't need each other anymore... which in my opinion is a bad thing."
Looks like Cryptic has some more things to fix...

Eternal Spring 2/2
Sentinel Aura 3/3
Moment of Need 3/3
Genesis 2/2
and use Conviction as my only heal.
The rest of my build, I would focus on offense since you already have all the healing/defenses you could possibly need while levelling. I might throw in 1 active defense like Masterful Dodge or something too.
I would probably do something in the way of superstats like:
STR Con/Pre (Enrage or Aspect of the Beast) Be sure to take the "Melee skills cost less" and "Juggernaut" from STR
or
DEX Pre/Rec (Form of the Tempest)

Don't be like the Qularr. They would not last one round in the Interstellar Galactic Arena...

Just want to emphasize how good Juggernaut is. Most of the specs that give you bonus defense from your stats are pretty minor. Juggernaut 3/3, however, converts a straight 30% of your CON into Defense. So at 250 CON (a common value for such a popular stat) you'll get a MEATY 75 Defense.
Now, the only problem is that both Brutality (+Severity) and Overpower (+Crit Chance) are also really damn good.
On the other hand, Trapped from the Overseer specialisation gives a 7,5% damage resistance debuff whenever you Root, Paralyse or Disable a target (Stuns not included). The duration of this debuff varies from 8sec on normal ennemies down to 4sec on Legendaries and Cosmic.
