What to keep, what to delete, what to pawn?

Hi everyone. I'm still piecing together what is and isn't valuable in the game. I've gotten quite a few catalysts, and mod-related loot, etc. I'm not going to bother trying to figure out how any of that stuff works until I reach the level cap on my first character, and I'm having some inventory issues. In COH the NPC vendors would often drastically underpay for stuff- Is that how it works here too?

Is this stuff even worth anything? I've posted a few things in the auction house but a lot of things aren't showing up in the search results so I don't know what to list it for or if its even worth selling. Should I just be saving it all for later anyways? I guess I could buy a hideout for extra storage if it's necessary.

Similar questions but with blue gear. I expected that people would pay more for this stuff in the AH, but most of the drops I've gotten don't appear to be listed so again I have no price reference. I've seen a lot of green gear posted though which is strange. I stopped picking that stuff up at like level 10.

What people in the CoX channel recommended was to vendor the lower-level gear that I didn't want to use. I imagine that would hold true for the catalysts as well, although I'm holding on to them in the vain hope that I will at some point in the near future figure out the mods and what to do with them once I fuse them.

On the other hand, if you have gear that you're using with an empty slot and a Gambler's Lucky Gem or something I suppose you might as well just plug it in -- the worst thing that could happen is that it would bump up some stats that you aren't really using, right?

Gambler's Lucky Gems is one thing I'd keep. All the possible effects they can give are pretty good to have.

If you're hard up for space, I suppose you can sell the mods that bump up stats you're not using. Always good to keep at least one mod that improves recovery, though. Can help alleviate endurance issues.

Generally people that care about stats while leveling have gear that scales so they no longer buy anything pre-40. People that don't have those scaling items are generally new players who can't afford them and also don't have much in the way of resources to buy new stuff. It so fast to outlevel gear nowadays that it's just not a good investment.

I myself just vendor nearly everything and just keep rank V or higher mods. I make an exception for CON, DEX, and Gambler's mods which I keep starting rank IV. Safeguard catalysts are also worth keeping.

Keep all your mods and vendor everything except:

    Blue primaries
    all purple gear
    10% Catalysts
    Safegaurd Catalysts

There are some good blue primaries that give more bonuses than the custom Silver Recog purples. And you will eventually find purple secondaries with 37 to a stat or two 20s along with higher offense/defense/cost discount/cooldown reduction than normal. (37 stat and 34 Offense sometimes)

Usually keep all your items you get from the boxes you open every 6 levels.

I just keep only Catalysts (esp.Safegaurd Catalysts) , Mods, unlimited Devices, some special Legacy and all other goes to Vendor or AH.
We don't have limitless Bank slots so.

Thanks for the information everyone. I've gotten a few purple drops. Are purples as big of a deal here as they are in COH? The numbers don't seem particularly impressive.

I also have a somewhat related question- Is there a comprehensive list of gear and mods with numbers somewhere? The only character builder I've found is the Powerhouse one and it's extremely underwhelming. If there's a character builder for CO like Mids with real numbers, gear info, etc. I would love a link.
