~The Bus pulled up to the stop and he rose to exit. He tugged on his mask knowing that the people here wouldn't be used to him. Were there ugly heroes here in this city? Perhaps but why take the risk. He set his duffle bag down beside him both it and his outfit were worn and patched. "Well it's not Paragon... but guess it's home now. Ready or not Millennium City Rotten Luck has arrived."~
Now for some Out of character Intro. I'm like many have moved from City of Heroes to Champions. Not that it was really wanted, but fate as it is I'm sure Champions numbers going to swell. As for who I am I played a Superhero ZOMBIE! Yes an undead rotting good guy who suffered from constant hunger. He refuses to eat anything alive (or freshly killed sentient beings), so always suffers for it. His powers were Willpower/Street Justice, for real life reasons I was out of the game for about a year or so. Just when I was ready to sign up NCsoft dropped the bomb.
So like many homeless heroes here I am. So How can I recreate a character who's main ability was that he ignored damage, healed fast, and even self rezzed. Damage was good but the main idea was his endurance and stamina he just kept fighting.
On top of this I was a Major RolePlayer and seek to join any Role play groups in Champions. Help me I'm suffering from major withdraw!
~"Don't listen to that loon" Rotten said as he scratched his chest.~ SEE I can't help it!

Hello there and welcome to CO :-D
I can help with your super power set as well. You will need the freeform option though as I'm not sure which archtype has the powers you seek. I don't use them much...
But the infernal supernatural set has a passive defense called Regeneration (it's pretty awesome IMO) which constantly heals you over time and has a nice amount of damage reduction. Alot of people say its weak but it works well if you have the right set up. The supernatural set also has a skill called rebirth that lets you come back from the dead. You could probably pick up Inertial Dampening field from the force powerset as a defensive toggle buff for added protection. As far as superstats, definitely constitution for a large HP pool, and Endurance and Recovery to give you a lot of energy for short downtimes.
As far as your attacks, I'm sure you'll find some that you feel fit Mr. Rottenluck. I would say most from the Darkness, Infernal Supernatural, Bestial Supernatural or Might may suit him well. But really you should just play and find out what YOU like ;-)
When you get comfortable, I'd love to fight some crime with you. I play a psychic character named Black Thought. You should look me up when you get situated.

The best way to accomplish this would be if you go freeform. By doing that, you can take regeneration as your passive (which also grants some damage resistance), and bestial supernatural attacks - they consist of claw swipes, a bite attack, etc. You can then also take a toxic breath attack for some range, and can augment your offense or defense a bit further with a toggle "form" power like form of the tempest if you're going for crits, or perhaps inertial dampening field if you want more defense.
On top of that, I recommend looking into the armadillo and samurai questionite gear sets -for every 3 pieces of each set you equip, you'll get an additional damage resist or physical damage buff, respectively. They cost 11,000 questionite each, but level as you do, so you don't ever have to worry about replacing them.
Another route to go would be to take invulnerability from the power armor set, which not only absorbs a flat amount of damage, but it further reduces whatever makes it through. You can then take a power like conviction for a powerful self heal (has a 5 sec cooldown).
There's also a power in sorcery that would allow you to summon other zombies if you wanted to, and the self rez from the supernatural set has an advantage that makes it summon some zombies if you're defeated & self-rez. On top of that, there's a rez-other power in gadgetering that has an advantage that changes it from an ally-rez to summoning a zombie using an enemy's corpse.
There are just so many way to go here...

Welcome, fellow new player...I am rather new myself
If you wish to not spend money on a freeform slot, the Archetype The Savage would be the closest to your former Hero's powers as it has the Regeneration passive everyone, is talking about, however, most of the powers are animalistic
I hope this helps some...good luck
I'm fairly new to the game as well, although I've played a bit during City of Heroes time. I don't play CO very often, because my PC can't support the graphics, but I do jump on occasionaly.
I'm ready to buckle down and do some heroing though!

Similar background. I left CoX two years ago and came here for six months, then went elsewhere and returned to CoX three days before that bomb dropped.
I like Regeneration, but I think the people suggesting it aren't familiar with Willpower and are focusing on the zombie concept. Yes, Willpower has some regen, but it also has defence and damage resistance. I'm thinking freeform build, with Defiance as the passive defence, backed with Resurgence, a self heal usually coupled with Regeneration. Defiance gives you some broad spectrum damage resistance, and applies stacks of a resistance buff for each hit you take. It also returns energy for each hit you take, so the longer you fight the tougher you become and the longer you continue to fight (sort of like the Hulk). Highly recommended for a melee character. I think, as good as Regeneration is, that it's a bit squishy for melee.
Many people might suggest Bountiful Chi Resurgence as an alternative to Resurgence, but BCR is a heal-over-time that scales to Presence, and Resurgence is a "lump sum" heal that scales to Constitution. See recommended superstats below for why this is important.
The people suggesting Infernal claw attacks are again not familiar with Street Justice. You'll likely take a smattering of powers from both Unarmed (quick, agile attacks) and Might (slower, heavy attacks). Your intended playstyle will dictate which powers to choose and at what levels, can't really help there. Several of them have debuff or crowd control effects, you'll have to do some research on the wiki to see what you like. Unarmed has energy return synergies based on the Rush and Focus mechanics, which reward high Dexterity; Might has resistance and damage buff synergies based on the Defiant and Enraged mechanics, which reward high Constitution and Strength. You might want to lean more towards Might as a result; see recommended superstats below.
Self rez is a no-brainer: Rebirth, from Infernal Supernatural again. Click, rez at full health, get double damage and double damage resistance for 20 seconds, gain health for each mob you defeat.
Superstat Constitution for high HP, Endurance and Recovery for high max energy and rapid energy recovery. Use talents and gear to boost Strength if you go heavy on Might, or Dexterity if you go heavy on Unarmed. High Constitution and Recovery also make Defiance a truly awesome passive defence.
You'll want to look at a good block power that again suits your playstyle and character concept. Parry counter-attacks foes that hit you when blocking, and has an Advantage that provides a brief passive Dodge buff while YOU are attacking. Ebon Void drains energy from attackers that hit you while blocking (not sure if that violates your "no feeding" clause), and an Advantage that increases the protection the longer you hold the block. Retaliation increases the damage of your next attack after blocking, and has an advantage that does knockback. Energy Shield has the best base damage resistance, and an Advantage that grants a brief passive defence buff on your next attack (balanced by a slight reduction of your damage for the same period).
And yes, I know now that this is an old thread, and that I just spent too much time building a text wall. I was drawn here because kidpanther's reply caused it to appear in the active thread list, and had nearly completed my post before I checked the OP date. My post might help someone with a similar concept, and fact that I explain my recommendations might be more helpful than some of the older threads that simply tell you what to do.

Have fun, and don't forget to block!
