CoH Refugee trying to recreate one of my two mains. The one I really need help with is my skunk.
Shes a cute blend of girl and skunk, and very scrapper like. Ive looked at the Infernal Beast powers and the toxic DoT combined with the slash and claw attacks seem to fit well.
The sticking point is when it comes to the Passive; Pestilence is a perfect fit. However, I havent yet found a build for it on the forums. Im sure one exists somewhere, but after a week or so of looking when I have time, Ive decided to ask for help.
Im looking for a complete build atm. Im still getting the hang of how the system works in CO, even with the toon builder.
Specializations: Dexterity:Combat Training(3/3) Dexterity:Brush It Off(2/2) Dexterity:Evasion(2/2) Dexterity:Quick Reflexes(3/3) Vindicator:Merciless(3/3) Vindicator:The Rush of Battle(2/3) Vindicator:Focused Strikes(2/3) Vindicator:Mass Destruction(3/3) Warden:Slaughter(3/3) Warden:Ruthless(2/2) Warden:Elusive(2/2) Warden:The Best Defense(3/3) Mastery:Dexterity Mastery(1/1)
With some Dodge/Avoid gear, you will be a LITTLE more survivable than without --- Pestilence is great and all, but if you can't defeat the foes fast enough, it offers precious little in the way of mitigation.
I love form of the tempest both for energy return and the damage boost and with a DEX / crit heavy build, it is easy to keep up stacks.
Overdrive is handy if you use maintains like Epidemic and Venomous Breath but an alternative might be Molecular Self Assembly if you rely on the lunge, Bountiful Chi and Conviction recharges to keep it running. I've never been particularly impressed with Supernatural Energy (or whatever that energy unlock is called).
DEX for the crits (and the specializations help your Dodge/Avoid), CON for the extra hit points you'll need since Pestilence has no real defenses and REC for energy management. You might swap INT in there (especially if you go with Molecular Self Assembly or just wish to manage energy through cost reductions, etc).
I didn't bump STR or EGO because I wasn't sure whether you'd rely on melee bestial attacks or the vastly superior ranged area attacks of the infernal set.
The build above will do fine, however, never, ever take DEX without the Crit Severity spec. Deadly Aim 3/3 is an absolute must in every DEX-based build.
If you don't want Venomous Breath and Epidemic, you can take Pounce earlier and open up a power later on.

Am I missing something? I thought that supernatural power (bestial/infernal supernatural energy unlock) is the best energy unlock for bestial/infernal builds. Especially for infernal builds that are based on maintain attacks, because they will literally let you use your attacks (in this build venomous breath, epidemic and devour essence) endlessly, for as long as you have something to hit with them. The only downside I see in them is that they only triggered with supernatural powers (bestial/infernal), but with REC as one of the SS's on lvl 40 it can return more energy then your maximum energy is (theoretically, I never tested it). Allso, you don't have to worry about spamming anything, like with MSA. And without INT MSA is just a little bonus when you need a little bonus, not a good energy unlock.
So, do I miss something, because I really can't see any downsides in supernatural power.

I happen to love the Supernatural set, both Bestial and Infernal, so I took a few minutes to make you a build to think about.
Super Stats: Level 6:Strength(Primary) (you are melee/scrapper, go for str) Level 10:Constitution(Secondary) (you'll need health being in melee) Level 15:Recovery(Secondary) (you'll need recovery to help with the maintain attacks)
Talents: (I like to mix it up, but here I added a lot of Dex via talents) Level 1:The Devastator Level 6:Martial Training Level 9:Covert Ops Training Level 12:Paramilitary Training Level 15:Martial Focus Level 18:Impresario Level 21:Acrobat
Powers: Level 1:Bestial Fury(Rip and Tear) (adv. is optional, but is nice) Level 1:Shred(Rank 2, Penetrating Strikes) (your tap-spam attack builds Enrage) Level 6:Pestilence(Rank 2, Rank 3) (your required offensive passive - be in melee role) Level 8:Supernatural Power (the BEST energy unlock for supernatural, not overdrive) Level 11:Void Shift(Emerging Nightmares, Nailed to the Ground) (best get-to power, and can be thematic/toxic cloud) Level 14:Epidemic(Rank 2, Rank 3) (the power you'll use the most, my favorite!) Level 17:Devour Essence(Rank 2, Phlebotomist) (a nice maintain heal/damage, and your target should be bleeding) Level 20:Aspect of the Bestial (Enrage for supernatural, tap-spam Shred to build stacks) Level 23:Ebon Void(Voracious Darkness) (another thematic item, and excellent block) Level 26:Bountiful Chi Resurgence(Rank 2, Resurgent Reiki) (basic stuff) Level 29:Masterful Dodge (more basic stuff) Level 32:Ego Surge(Nimble Mind) (last few are totally open, this is a nice Offensive click) Level 35:Support Drones(Rank 2, Rank 3) (not thematic, but you can put whatever here) Level 38:Toxic Nanites (thematic, and more damage / another Offensive click)
Travel Powers: Level 6:Blazing Speed(Rank 2, Rank 3) (obviously open to preference) Level 35:Acrobatics (every melee toon should have acro/athletics)
Specializations: (I'm not the best at these, but this should be a good start) Strength:Physical Peak(3/3) Strength:Aggression(2/2) Strength:Brutality(2/2) Strength:Juggernaut(3/3) Warden:Fortified Gear(3/3) Warden:Ruthless(2/2) Warden:Upper Hand(2/3) Warden:The Best Defense(3/3) Vindicator:Aggressive Stance(2/2) Vindicator:Merciless(3/3) Vindicator:The Rush of Battle(1/3) Vindicator:Modified Gear(2/2) Vindicator:Mass Destruction(2/3) Mastery:Strength Mastery(1/1)
I might even suggest you DROP one of the later powers (optional ones) and get REGENERATION, so you can become a really nice tank. This is quite similar to my tank build (more defense / block / etc), but in a pinch, you'll live through most everything. You might want to also check out HOWL with Make them tremble, if you go down the tanking path...
As others have said (here and everywhere), just grab some nice gear to make up for dodge/avoid, and to help add crit chances, etc.
