Need help with a Fire / Healer Hybrid

Hello. Been playing this game for a few months and enjoyed it. Finally bought freeform slots during the sale. I wanted to have a DPS/healer hybrid and after searching the forums saw this build under the freeform builds in the big box of guides (my thanks to the one who compiled this). Freeform is something new for me, was afraid I'd mess her up so I went with the template.

The damage is great but it seem she's very fragile especially with bosses. So I was wondering if I was doing anything wrong. I played the early missions till around 15 before leveling up to 30 using the double xp buff in Alerts. My guess is that my equipment hasn't yet catch up to her level.

Also since the original post has yet to be updated I wasn't sure at first what my third superstat would be, I settled on END because it scales with Thermal Reverberation. Though honestly speaking I seem to rely on my EB more than the energy unlock. I'm also not sure with how to go about the specialization tree so this was my best attempt.

While I primarily solo, after doing nemcons I've realized my preferred play style in a team is long range DPS with healing on the side. This came about from playing my main - a grimoire with Arcane Vitality. I'd also like to go on the Gravitar Rampage with this toon so her abilities can be flexible when there's no healer with rez around. I understand the trade off is that she can excel in neither area but the flexibility can make her more useful.

Does anyone know the proper way to play this toon? I can't figure out how TR is suppose to work. Also, what specializations would be good for her? Any suggestions and comments from the community would be welcome.

Fire used to rely heavily on presence before, not sure how true that is anymore, and that made it popular to mix with healing, which also benefits largely from presence. These days I think you can get the highest combination of healing from paranormal damage of any kind and seraphim passive, its as close as you can get to actually using both a offensive passive and support passive IMO.

Another thing to keep in mind, the best specilization mastery for healing hands down is presence as it shields a % of healing done, so not only do you heal from your heals, you shield, making healing all the more easy, at least for team play.

It looks like from your presented build that you are more interested in DPS though, when it comes to fire, I can't offer much input on that area.

Thank you svajda for the quick reply. I haven't looked at the paranormal framework yet, I take it this means the Radiant and Sorcery trees. Ok, I'll look into them and check them out.

I'm still learning how to play this toon. So far, the only instance of team play I've been in are mostly dockside Alerts and with the 2 minutes time limit, so I've mostly been focusing on beating the boss. Guess that's how the focus on damage came about. I still haven't figured out whether to stress the damage or healing part. I'm thinking I'll discover my preference once I join the Gravitar Rampage or try out the other lairs. I would like to try using a healer toon that can still do decent damage.

I think I get what you mean - if I want to focus on healing, I should take presence as my primary superstat and spec accordingly, along with seraphim, etc. ok I'll give it a try using the powerhouse planner. I can honestly say this toon is still searching for its identity at the moment.

Ah.. may I ask what does IMO mean? Sorry, I'm not familiar with the term. This is the first mmo I've ever played so I'm kind of new to the genre.

I have had good results with this build. She was originally an AT converted to FF. She can heal very well and dish out the damage. She has all Heroic primaries and is quite sturdy running in support role.
