Hi, this is the build I used to Shadow strike people, its pretty fun. I had screenshots but apparently I cant post attachments so I'll give the overview. This build focuses on buffing a hold powers to get off a shadow strike.

Main info on Shadow Strike- Only affected by level and role, does not crit, damage does not go up depending on superstats or buffs. However, the damage can be increased if you target is debuffed, hence why ego hold is used to set up and debuff the target.

Stats
Primary: Intelligence-for recharge reduction of all your powers, esp. shadow strike and cost reduction (and minor stealth sight)
Secondary: Strength-so you dont get force geyser'd as much, its annoying
Presence: improves your holds, heals, and bubbles.

Specs
Int: spec for damage penetration, hold strength, and recharge reduction on energy builder
Overseer: spec for anything +heals, shields, holds, and Trapped
Sentinel: spec for anything +heals, shields, holds, and Wither (though I dont know if its working correctly)

Powers: just look at my power try in the video, I'll point out some important ones here.

How to attack:
Usually, always have force bubble up to protect your stealth from being dropped, then it's easy as 1,2,3:

Smoke grenade->Ego Hold->Shadowstrike

Then run away fast. Other things I used are the Web grenade power to remove travel powers/root if they are flying. Also note that root resistance and hold resistance are on different timers so they dont interact. The other powers I use situationally/for pve are Ricochet Throw and Strafing Run, which doesnt break stealth interestingly. In fact, the only powers you will use that break stealth are Shadow Strike and Ricochet Throw.

How to protect yourself:
Force bubble up always, you should have Masterful Dodge and Unbreakable, along with Conviction and Force Shield w/ sheath advantage. You can activate all of these without fighting since you are Int superstatted.

Other than that, its just practice. I have some decent shadow strikes in my vid and some that are awkward since Fraps lags my comp. Hope this helps anyone that wants to be melee and kill some AoPM users haha.

It's nice to see people using the new melee spike effectively! Great video, too

Unfortunately for you my pesti build can one shot you with just plain old half-charged Defile

That is, when you don't slip away from me into the dimension of stealth.

The biggest problem with any build centered around Shadow Strike is that you're rendered completely ineffective by counters.

It's not about it being unable to kill, as given the window it will do just that. It just doesn't take much at all to ruin that setup. For example, one person with percep chasing you around the map and now suddenly you can't deal any damage.

So true, out of respect for Rose, I tend to not respond with force, but after focusing me a few times I had to lay the smack down with some in SonicDets to knock some sense of order back into the lil feller.

It's a great Rogue stylish build though, great for hit and run and looks like a lot of fun.

Anyone aware will ruin your fun though, my Behe could avoid the spike easily even with careful timing of the Ego Sleep. (Trying to retaliate however it much more complicated as Roomsweeper will be cast right after Shadow Strike and most of the time it means goodbye.)

Shadow strike builds are definitly easy to kill if you can target them. ALso you need to spec for high perception which means you wont get max rech going yeah you can see us but you hurt yourself. And to point out something we prob will get mods soon for steath to boost it up. If you got perception mod steath is next!
