How about some alerts that take place in the Desert or Canada? Maybe a group of villains attacking the bases there?

    Red Winter is a special alert that takes place in Area 51. It rotates with the other special alerts like GRAB and Harmon Labs.

    A Canada alert would be great.

    Canada Alert!

    The Canadian stockpile of genuine maple syrup, the majority of the world's supply, is being robbed! Stop the thieves before they can get away with the golden goodness!

    (And that one even has that "ripped from the headlines" quality... :wink:)

    Wouldn't that most likely fail? (too soon?)

    I'm a bit sad that alerts weren't given more locations. Most of the current locations is around the Capital Building and Museum. It would be quite interesting to have some that focus around the old Crafting buildings and use them for Alerts rather than the bank. The bank already has a mission you can go into outside of alert.

    Some new alert locations would be nice.

    The idea of villains attacking the bases in Canada and the desert could also be used to make Alert scenarios in which the heroes must protect the gate for a given length of time against endlessly spawning enemies that get harder and tougher as time passes.

    That would be fun, and I don't think it would require that much coding.

    Like keaixian, I think Alerts with some different victory conditions would be great.

    * Defend for x time
    * Capture a base
    * Save x number of civilians
    * Successfully escort a caravan
    * Gather/transport x number of items

    Well,I'd like alerts in different locations than MC,or vibora,sure red winter was in the desert,but what about Canada?........Lemuria?......maybe a Kigalitik Alert in Canada,and a Lemurian/and or Megalodon Alert in Lemuria?

    P.S. I know this is off topic,but why are people getting mad at music artists here?

    Clearly AC/DC needs to cover "My Heart Will Go On" to redress the karmic imbalance, though truth to tell, my standard for terrible covers will forever start and end with the Sizzor Sisters version of Comfortably Numb.

    This^

    Plus add multiple objectives across a large map. It doesn't have to be huge, but make us move from place to place to give us a sense that situations are progressing as we move along. Check out DCUO's alerts and do a bit of that. For example:

    Sample Scenario - Desert Caravan Escort:
    Description: We must escort a caravan with supplies towards Stronghold prison. Attacks from irradiates, escaped prisoners and other desert menaces have been disrrupting the supply chain and heroes are being called to help escort the caravan with vital supplies to help guards fend off the escaped convicts from the prison.

    Phase 1: Fend off Ambush
    • Description: We set out to escort the caravan towards its intended location. As we move through a narrow path between the mountains, we get ambushed by a random group of irradiates.
    • Objective: Defend the caravan for X amount of time till all irradiates are driven off. Once the irradiates are driven we may continue down the path.

    Phase 2: Investigate a Fallen Convoy
    • Description: We run into a fallen convoy as we continue along the path. Vehicles, gear and bodies are scattered everywhere.
    • Objective: Search for clues and/or survivors. Clicking on a series of interactible objective slowly paints a picture of what happened, and signs show that equipment and guards may have been dragged down a path between the mountains too narrow for the caravans.

    Phase 3: Recover Stolen Equipment and Look for Survivors
    • Description: The attackers of the fallen convoy stole some equipment and may have taken some survivors hostage. A contingent of guards will stay behind to protect the caravan while the group investigates further.
    • Objective: Follow along the narrow path to look for the hideout of the group that attacked the convoy. The group will face random groups of irradiates along the path for optional random combat, but they are not the objective. Eventually, the group will find the entrance of a cave with tracks leading to it. Inside the group will face off against escaped convicts, lead by a Supervillain, holding the stolen equipment and a group of guards from the convoy being held hostage. The convicts planned to use the equipment and information gained from interrogating the captured guards to mount an attack against the guards trying to recapture the escaped convicts and the group must stop them.

    Phase 4: Caravan Emergency?the Final Confrontation
    • Description: All the confrontations with groups of irradiates throughout the trip has drawn the attention of one of their leaders, who amassed a force and set out to attack the caravan while the group was away.
    • Objective: The group must hurry back to fend off the caravan from attack. There is a timer on this objective! Groups of irradiates will try to hold them off along the way. Once the group returns to the caravan they will face off against a mass attack of irradiates already attacking the caravan. The caravan guards as well as the rescued guards will help them. If the group manages to fend off the irradiates in time the mission will be a success, if not, it will fail. Either way this will be the last confrontation on this mission.

    I will shamelessly use this as an opportunity to promote one of my goofier ideas...

    Cosmic Alerts

    Since these would indeed happen somewhere other than MC or Vibora

    Do them like the last part of the Nighthawk mission.

    You go to their area, find the monster in question and instead of attacking it [it's neutral and unkillable] you get a prompt to queue for ..

    Grond -Desert

    Kigatilik- Canada

    Qwyjibo - Monster Island

    Teleiosaurus - Monster Island

    Megalodon- Lemuria

    Unlike other Alerts these SHOULD NOT be level at anything but 40 [or what ever level cap it is by the time this happens]

    It'd be a must for the Cosmic raids to drop top end gear, like they do now.

    Here we are now going to the West Side
    Weapons in hand as we go for a ride
    Some may come and some may stay
    Watching out for a sunny day
    Where there's love and darkness and my sidearm

    Sadly, they don't. Apart from a box of Q and Kiga's costume pieces, I've gotten better gear from chairs in Ren Center. :mad:

    There needs to be an Alert like Gravitar but perhaps with PSI? MindSlayer and Medusa OR Menton and Psimon... *-*

    I think they need some attention..
