Single character slot for 800 Zen

This idea has been brought up before, and no explanation ever given (that I'm aware of) for it not being done.
Having a pack of 2 character slots for 1400 Zen is a fine idea, but sometimes players only want 1 more character slot -- especially Silver players. (I'm probably not the only player who is Silver only because of financial restrictions.)
When this was brought up before, I said that if single character slots had been available when I started I would have bought two of them (on separate occasions) by then: one early on, when the first character I'd built didn't seem to be working out (I would have just bought the extra slot, but ended up deleting that character instead), and another later to try out one of the newer free Archetypes (I don't remember which one).
Now I've had a third possible time come and go, with the leveling sweepstakes. Had this been available when that event started, I would have bought one just for this, and possibly one of the Premium Archetypes to go with it (one of the ones I had such a good time with during the Free Archetype Event last fall). Now, even if I logged on this afternoon and found that I'd somehow been given a free character slot and Tempest AT, I don't think I'd be able to level him up before the sweeps is over.
It's hard coming up with enough Questionite for 1400 Zen (especially with Nemesis Alerts not currently showing up), but much easier for 800 Zen. Similarly, paying cash, it's more reasonable for me to pay $8 when I'm inclined and get just what I need at that time than to pay $14 and get something that'll just sit around unused for a long time.

Why not to do surveys and free offers
But on a serious note, it only makes sense to offer it as an option.
Benefit #1: More C-store purchases for Character slots from people only wanting 1 slot
Benefit #2: More C-store purchases for the 2-pack character slots from people seeing 200Z less to buy 2 at once than 2 individual as a good deal
It turns the original 2-pack into a permanent sale deal while the new single option sells more often to those with tighter budgets looking to buy one only as the need arises.
