BUG: Lingering Regret does not seem to be "purged" by Mind Break.

    Here's my feedback

The tooltips are really confusing... I had to read this forum post to really understand what each power did.

Besides that I am liking the feeling of the DoTs, though I am confused on how the manifestations will work.... they sort of feel like shaman totems of WoW.... a mechanic that they already ditched out because it was hoorrrible.

Are mental storm and mental leech supposed to be mutually exclusive?

The manifestation auras on the hands look like magic (AOPM) and not PSI powers.

This patch was intended to add to the speed and responsiveness of telepathy but Manipulator is so slow. I was really hoping for some new powers to proc manipulator so that i don't have to slowly spam holds that root me, have long charge times, and long cool-downs.
Would you consider letting manipulator proc on stuns?

    PVP is starving without rewards

    1. Please give us Daily PVP missions that reward Questionite.
    2. Please give us an exchange rate between Acclaim and Recognition so that PVP has access to all "On Alert" PVE rewards.

Bug ? When leveling Master of Mind from level 1 to level 2, the system deducts two advantage points, but adds 4 to the power, making rank 3 inaccessible. I left the powerhouse and re-entered, but the same problem persists. Undoing the selection returns 2 advantage points to the character, and removes all four that were added to the power.

Where it happens ? In Powerhouse (I was in the Monster Island instance, though I suspect it doesn't matter)

I had a quick look at the new powers. They seem like they will be a lot of fun to make a build with. I hope the Mind transformation has better animations/effects with rank up or will be added later. I'll chime in on more stuff when I get a chance to jump back on the PTS later.

And already I have to go back to work..

I have to say.. the FX on Shadow of Doubt LOVE. the name.. not as much. lol (sorry ravenforce) "Doubt"?

Flight on Master of the mind.. as my character cannot fly this is not desireable.

    - -

For all the Master of the X powers is it possible to h ave these show up in the Pet Tray? Or are you expecting players to be able to build swap to use them?

    Hmm? what do you mean?

Also a couple of name changes could be useful to the powers, I am liking the feedback :D

I REALLY hope that the psychic manifestations are similar to AoAC/PSI/something like this

I hope this is made into an AT if possible because I will buy it! It seems extremely promising, I have personally always felt that telepathy needed a more aggressive focus, perhaps not as much as a control focus but significantly more than it currently has, add a support passive and some crowd control review of mechanics and you'll have a strong and alive powerset.

Will any of these changes propogate to/update the Mind archetype?

Sadly no they wont :frown: at least thats what I have heard.

But if they were to be implemented I think they would have to bring Mind AT to Guardian Role...damn, my telepath would finally get the respect she deserves

But coming back down to reality, I doubt they will. I think if a new AT did come out of this..The Psychic AT OR The Mentalist AT....*-*

I would retrain my Mind AT into it without even so much as a bat of an eyelid, provided final details were put up before hand.

All of this seems really promising :D Keep up the good work guys

You have to add the sub-powers before you run out of power selections or you can no longer take them, which means you can not take the sub powers if last power choice is one of the manifestation powers.

Yeah I have a feeling it would end up being an entirely new AT. The Mind is focused more on healing, the new passive is focused more on offense. So an offensive telepathy AT would make sense.

    Some preliminary tests:

Congress of Selves (Rank 3), 10 stacks of Lingering Regret/Ebbing Lifeforce/Shadows of the Mind, Concentration, cycling Mental Leech/Shadow of Doubt/Mental Storm as they leave cooldown.

    Time: 160.5s, Damage: 522561.9, 3255.8 DPS
    Time: 102.0s, Damage: 312826.8, 3066.9 DPS

Single Mind Break (Rank 3) detonations at 10 stacks of each debuff:

    Non-critical:
[9/5 13:43] Your Mind Break deals 19561 (12226) Ego Damage to Regen Dummy.
[9/5 13:43] Your Mind Break deals 20109 (12568) Ego Damage to Regen Dummy.
[9/5 13:43] Your Mind Break deals 4726 (2954) Ego Damage to Regen Dummy.

Critical (Ego Surge + Nimble Mind):
[9/5 13:49] Your Mind Break deals 12546 (7841) Ego Damage to Regen Dummy.
[9/5 13:49] Your Mind Break deals 52807 (33004) Ego Damage to Regen Dummy.
[9/5 13:49] Your Mind Break deals 51960 (32475) Ego Damage to Regen Dummy.

Master of the Mind (Rank 2) costs two advantage points but cannot be ranked further.
Manifestations implementation a bit clunky in trainer and powers windows.

I had some trouble with manifestations. I chose all 3, but I could not choose which specific buff for each one.

Bug: No all manifestations icons shown on my character
    where: powerhouse training room
what: even having all manifestation chosen as powers only the buff of the first 2 are shown on my character frame.

Bug: I can't choose the specific manifestation ID
    Where: powerhouse
what: I can choose the specific buff for each manifestation power

Hmmmm, I wonder if those changes are actually useful. To me it looks a bit messy with all the stacks and whatnot. I'm not sure how useful those powers will be in game. If the set can't do some decent damage in the end it will still suck. Why? Because CO is a "fast paced" action game. Nobody wants to spend an hour just to kill trash (I exaggerate). I'm curious how this works out though. I obviously don't know if my assumptions are correct since I only read the description of the powers and did not actually test them. Still I'm rather skeptical. Well I guess I'll see tomorrow.

Maybe it'll shine in boss fights? But then they just made gravitar immune to Skarne's Bane, so I dunno what to expect. With any luck they'll take this chance to figure out just HOW affected bosses will be from debuffs.

I'm really not sure what to make of the new powers. My feedback on em? Eef, clutter. I'm literally out of power bar slots from the 4 different options from the manifestations. As well, manifestations? Why do 4 free powers all require power points to rank? I was point starved already, it's a system where you're encouraged to switch around by situation but you're forced to specialize or hurt the rest of your powers.

Also, the cooldown on the dots is a bit long. I did a build that specialized real heavily in the new powers, and stacked int as much as possible for a quicker cooldown, and still found myself just standing there tapping mind break more than half the time. Also, the single target aspect (because a 10 foot sphere isn't anything special, really) of the dots is gonna make this thing a nightmare to level. IMO the only real upside to this is that if you stack compassion? You *will* have full stacks in a second or 2.

I feel like this is the first time we're ever actually gonna have a use for the builds, since you can slot one manifestation per build.

I wish I could comment on how this performs with bosses, but I can't get more than 4 stacks of each dot going before the power house dummies pop. I can say that over the minute or 2 it takes to pull that off? The dps seems good, but the "break" was only ticking for about 4k. I feel like ego lance was silently pointing at me and laughing for that.
In game, I am @EvilTaco. Happily killing purple gang members since May 2008.

Yeah, I made a psionicist that was heavy with the new telepath powers, with some telekinetics to back him up, and it was actually monstrously easy to get similar numbers.

Edit: A thought-Is there any way to dispel the new Manifestation entities? I can easily see how they can get spammy or otherwise annoying very quickly, if summoned in large numbers in a single spot.
