Can't make new character? going to miss lvl 40 event...

So, i just reluctantly delete my only silver character i had atm to start this reach lvl 40 in less than 3 days. only to find out, that DESPITE the fact it still shows an empty character slot to create a toon, i can then pick the AT, the costume, then the name, but as soon as i click "i'm done" to start the actual game and finalise the toon, it tells me i have no character slots. So what the hell?I then delete one of my gold toons, and now i have TWO blank char slots, both not letting me use them. Why is this happening? at this rate, i'm afraid to delete any more toons. I don't think it's related to losing slots when going silver again, as i was able to have made the previous silver toon AFTER i lost gold so if it was relevant, it would not have worked that time either.

All i know is, I've not only lost my silver toon, but i have 3 days to get customer support to look at my report. by which, they'll just ask the generic "have you done this, or can you tell us that" and going to miss out on this event. It's bad enough that i'd have to do it, if i want that ascendant title etc but now it's not even possible to start =\


So has anyone else had this similar issue, and was there a way to fix it?

I heard you can't skip the tutorial. Haven't confirmed it.

I haven't been skipping, and it worked on a different account of mine, skipping tut so i don't know what's going on. and now, i have 3 empty slots. at this rate, i'm going to end up deleting everything and STILL have no damn slots to spare. This is a serious flaw -.-

Having the same problem. I decided to come back and do a small test as free-to-play, haven't played in nearly a year. Have a few silver slots to make a new character and was going to sub, if I think it's worth it after running around as an AT, but I can't create any new characters. Always 'No available character slot' prompt after designing a character. The heck?

From what I can tell, bugged for at least a week.

Bugs abound, PW doesn't care.

This BS of a bug is affecting more and more players and is the #1 bug I want fixed. I think this problem is related to people who used to be gold but are now silver because none of my gold friends are having to put up with this.

Yes... i've gathered that too. From my own experience, i think the exact bug is, that when you delete a toon, it doesn't remove the slot, it does the normal calculation to determine how many chars you may have while silver. so, since before gold, i had 3 legitimate charactr slots, and when i became gold, i gained the 6 gold ones (9 total atm) then i gained 2 more for having 2 lvl 40s (11) plus 1 more when i reached 200 day gold sub perk (12).

in the end i deleted 6 toons to make 1....

i notice one more inconsistency though. i had 11 used slots while i was gold, when i became silver, i made the 12th. but after i deleted the 12th i lost it. when i shouldn't have. so that there is flawed as well.

This bug has been around for a few weeks and I still have this problem as well.
