I'm not sure if this is a bug, or not, but either way, it doesn't seem to work "well" in the following instance.
I use automated assault to help my Power Armor character generate endurance while running his attack toggles, it works very well for me in that capacity.
My problem with it is how it interacts with attacks that use the "hand" slot.
I like playing with the option to leave the Wrist Bolter toggled on so it automatically fires on my selected target (and all my energy builders on all my characters for that matter). Having to manually turn it on and off constantly is not an option I would consider.
So, lets take the 3 hand slot attacks that I like one at a time to explain the odd problem:
Tactical Missile = This works perfectly fine, the moment I tap, or charge it, Wrist Bolter stops firing, and resumes firing once I am done with that attack.
Plasma Beam = This also works perfectly, it's a maintain, the moment I engage it, for however long I maintain it, Wrist Bolter again stops firing and then starts firing automatically once Plasma Beam is done.
Now onto the problem power:
Concussor Beam = This one is a toggle, unlike the previous tap, charge, and maintain powers, it gets interrupted by Automated Assault. The only way for me to get this to remain toggled is to disable the auto attack on selected target for Wrist Bolter.
This doesn't seem "consistent" with how the other hand slot attacks seem to mesh so well together.
I hope this is an easy fix, I love Concussor Beam, and would really love to put it back into my build, but as it currently stands, it's to clunky for me to enjoy using so I retconned it out for the time being.
If someone has figured out some solution that I'm not seeing, sharing that information would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your time.

Power Bolt doesn't have the Automated Assault advantage, which is specifically what I want because it's what allows me to generate energy while it attacks when I'm also using my Shoulder and Chest Attack toggles.
Power Bolt doesn't allow me that option. In fact, no other Energy Builder except for Wrist Bolter allows me that option.

Actually...it does not do what you describe here.
Wrist Bolter does NOT generate energy while any other PA Toggle is running.
And what you described is absolutely consistent, you can activate a maintain or charge which temporary surpress the same PA slot toggle and after it is resolved the toggle keeps running.
But once you activate another toggle in the SAME slot, the first toggle only restart if you click it manual.
The main reason to take automated assault is not for continuous energy, as has been explained. However, it does trigger revitalize in the INT tree, which is useful and also said to work with kickback as well. The latter does grant energy, but I haven't personally tested it with AA, so not sure that it works, but I have seen posts that stated it did.

.
It does with the Kickback skill hence my specifically wanting Wrist Bolter instead of any other end builder because it's the only one with an advantage that does what automated assault does.

Wrist Bolter isn't a Toggle power, no EB that I'm aware of is classified as a Power Armor style Toggle. However EBs in options can be set for continuous fire. Furthermore, it works correctly without the automated assault advantage when set for continuous fire. That being, it stops firing while Concussor Beam is firing, then resumes when Concussor Beam stops firing. It's only when you factor in the automated assault that it breaks how they work.
The main reason to take automated assault is not for continuous energy, as has been explained.
Actually, this is exactly the main reason I took it, because it keeps me at 90%+ endurance while fighting, which helps make Outburst more useful.
EDIT:
To clarify, Wrist Bolter isn't doing the energy generation when in automated assault mode, Kickback is doing the energy generation, but it only works like it does because Wrist Bolter is firing thus maintaining Kickback while my Shoulder and Chest slot attacks are firing.

First of...
You should have explained your problem a bit better.
Actually you can't expect everyone to notice the problem involving the Endurance Spec Tree.
I don't think a lot of people use it (I might be wrong, just my perception so far).
If you have a problem and ask for help, do it in a polite fashion and give all the necessary fact.

" Automated Assault (1 Advantage Points)
Changes the Wrist Bolter to function as a Hand Slot. Wrist Bolter does not generate energy while other powers are in use."
From the point on you take the advantage it works like a PA Hand Slot and the continuous firing makes it a toggle.
Just read the discription.
Automated Assault turns Wrist Bolter into a toggle, more or less. You will have to manually turn it off to use Concussor Beam. Isn't Plasma Beam superior to Concussor anyways?

You're right, It gets turned into a Power Armor style toggle effect when taking automated assault. It still works badly as I outlined above, whether intended or not. It should mesh well like it does with all of the other attacks. Seems "off" to me that in this one instance it doesn't. But I guess that's neither here nor there.
Some points:
I did explain myself as well as as I was able to, I even went back and clarified some posts in that regard. If something was unclear afterwards, simply asking and would have happily obliged.
I don't understand what you mean by "you can't expect everyone to notice the problem involving the Endurance Spec Tree", There's nothing wrong with kickback, it works perfectly as intended. With or without Kickback, automated assault has the above issue I outlined.
And lastly: "If you have a problem and ask for help, do it in a polite fashion and give all the necessary fact." Where/when was I impolite?
Thanks for the clarification I missed in the description.
I still believe the powers can and should mesh better.
Something intended doesn't mean it's a good intention.

Superior, perhaps, but I really do like Concussor Beam, The way it looks, the way it works as a toggle, it's repel effect, and I believe it does more damage to a single target that Plasma Beam does.
Plus, I also have Plasma Beam too
I use different attacks in different situations. When fighting several mobs I will use Plasma Beam since I will hit several, but when fighting a single tough foe I prefer Concussor Beam.
And when fighting Foes further than 50 feet away I use Tactical Missiles.
In all three cases I will likely have Mini Gun and Micro Munitions chugging away at the mob/s.
And when I need endurance, Automated Assault nearly instantly shoots my endurance bar to full all the while Mini Gun and Micro Munitions never stop firing.
And when I want to maximize Outburst, I just maintain Mini Gun and Micro Munitions and leave Wrist Bolter with Auto Assault on, this way my endurance never drops below 90% ensuring I'm getting a consistent Outburst buff.
Well, all this was before my recent retcon, I got tired of how Concussor Beam didn't work well with Wrist Bolter so I dropped it. If this issue ever gets addressed I will pick it back up in a heartbeat.

Not sure why you part quoted me and claimed I was wrong when in fact your edit confirms what I said later. AA by itself does not grant extra energy, you need Kickback as well, so my observation is correct. In fact AA is detrimental by itself to energy, as the delay when it auto-switches from toggle to EB is marked.
On my PA build I took revitalize, as I uses overdrive to fuel my energy and I seldom need to worry about it, but the advantage of using my defensive and offensive buffs more often is invaluable.

Sorry if I wasn't clear, but to clarify, I quoted the part where you state that the main reason to take AA is not for energy generation, and I simply stated that was in fact the main reason I took AA, because while Wrist Bolter+AA doesn't specificlaly generate Energy when I'm running Mini Gun + Micro Munitions, it is an integral part of my energy generation when combined with Kickback. Kickback alone without AA would cause me to not generate any energy at all while firing those two attacks.
The Delay on Wrist Bolter while annoying, really doesn't affect my playstyle very much, since I'm not constantly switching it on and off as much as one might think. Generally it's always on and firing at my target, and my two bread and butter attacks are Mini Gun and Micro Munitions. I occassionally use one of my other two hand slot attacks such as Plasma Beam and Tactical Missile, and only one of them competes with Wrist Bolter for uptime, that being Plasma Beam because I use both within their 50 foot range limits.
Tactical Missile I tend to use when targets are 50-100 feet away and Wrist Bolter isnt firing at that time anyway, so that works out well.
I realize my attack preference is no where near optimal, I know I don't do the huge damage other people manage to pull off, but I like not worrying about endurance more than having the huge damage numbers.
And I re-read what I posted just now to make sure I didn't write in a way that could be misinterpreted, and I don't see anywhere that I claimed you were wrong about anything.

Can you perhaps elaborate upon what you mean by this?
In the mean time I will take it as I read it and would like to make a general comment about how I use AA+Kickback
I "think" from how folks are phrasing their comments about these is that it seems inefficient when using Wrist bolter sporadically, meaning they toggle Wrist Bolter on and off repeatedly during the course of a fight. There is nothing unusual about that with pretty much any EB. And seen in that light, I can now understand why the EB+Kickback combination is not very popular or seen as being not very effective.
But, let me present another way to look at it, the way I use it in fact is nothing at all like how I just described, and admittedly it's probably not a very common way folks use EBs in general.
I tend to leave Wrist Bolter firing, constantly, it never stops firing unless the target is dead or out of range, so it doesn't suffer the activation delay very often.
Also, since it's constantly firing, Kickback goes from being a "meh" some pidly extra endurance, to instant full endurance and stays at full endurance the whole time because since Wrist Bolter is constantly firing, Kickback is causing the next non EB attack to constantly pump endurance into me, I'm literally overflowing with endurance.
If I misread what you stated there I look forward to your clarification, and I hope that now I've helped to explain better just why I like the combo and how it works for me.
Edited for horrible typoes :P

If you leave your wrist bolter on all the time, when you stop using your other toggles, there is a delay before the AA switches back to the energy builder version. It's not game-breaking, but it is noticeable. The delay was more noticeable as I was leveling, as earlier I did have energy issues. Despite that, I now leave my EB on all the time and never switch it off. I am using revitalize, not kickback, so my energy is never that high, but it is sufficient to restart a new cycle of Micro missiles and mini-gun whenever one finishes in most cases. Using revitalize however, allows me frequent fire all weapons and to hit electric sheathe, lock and load, invulnerability etc most of the time and makes me far less squishy, since my passive is targeting computer and my dps is very high.
I did consider going the kickback route, but since I have INT as my primary and END, EGO as secondaries, I don't find myself short of energy so I went for maximum DPS. i have heard others say kickback isn't efficient, as although it does provide energy, taking it means doing less DPS as it means you can't use another wrist slot without careful juggling. In my case the extra DPS from rotating my buffs etc, more than compensates for the DPS loss of not taking the other wrist slots.
All EBs are toggles - you can choose to *not* have them behave like toggles, if you wanted, by changing said behavior in the options menu.
The issue here is that even with the END tree spec, it's still not the best use of your energy. If you also have overdrive, simply keeping a maintain power going can help fuel your other attacks.
I also wish they'd switch back to the "improved" version of wrist bolters that we had for a while...

They may all be "toggles" depending on how you define that, but what I was trying elaborate upon is that none of them including Wrist Bolter cause a problem interupting Concussor Beam. The problem I experience only starts up when I give Wrist Bolter the Automated Assault advantage. Then suddenly it can interrupt C-Beam afterwards.
Without the AA Advantage, they alternate quite nicely. I engage C-Beam and Bolter stops firing, and resumes firing when C-Beam ends. I just wish it worked exactly the same way when I give Bolter the AA Advantage. Oh well, guess I can hope for a future tweek to that.
EDIT:
I just had an idea hit me, perhaps I can get what I want through some gimmicky use of binds/scripts. Something like how I crafted my Maintained Block on demand Script.
When I get some free time I will tinker around with that and if anything pans out from it I will post it here.

There is no issue here, expect perhaps for automated assault wrist bolter triggering certain abilities improperly while running it with other toggles.
Automated Assault changes the EB into a hand slot toggle. Naturally it conflicts with Concussor Beam-also a hand slot toggle. It is inconvenient, of that I have no doubt. But it is also a predictable behavior. It says it right in the description: "Automated Assault: Changes the Wrist Bolter to function as a hand slot."
Under Concussor Beam we have: "Hand Slot: You may only have one Power Armor toggle active in each slot."
I have the following attacks in the above slots:
Concussor Beam
Mini Gun
Micro Munitions
Whenever I activate Concussor Beam, Wrist Bolter disengages autoattack mode
Whenever I activate either Mini Gun or Micro Munitions, Wrist Bolter engages autoattack mode.

Someone asked me about the Block Toggle I made, but since the move to the Perfect World forums jumbled everything up it's not easy to find, but thankfully it was preserved in one of those archived threads, but it doesn't show poster names anymore, so you cant easily find posts from specific people. My original forum handle was "Ashlocke", but during the move it wouldn't let me use it again so I had to change it.
I will just go ahead and paste it here for convenience.
A long time ago I created a quick and dirty bind that does exactly what you are asking about, there may be another way to get it to work, but I am happy with my method so never bothered to dink around with it further.
Create two .txt files in the "Live" directory, and you might as well place copies in the "playtest" directory also if you ever use the test server so you will have them there as well.
I named my two files "Block1.txt" and "Block2.txt"
In Block1.txt put this line in:
Z "PowerTrayExec 0 16 $$ Bind_load_file Block2.txt"
In Block2.txt put this line in:
Z "PowerTrayExec 1 16 $$ Bind_load_file Block1.txt"
I use "Z" for my block key, replace Z with whatever key you prefer.
Now one final step, just load up the bind to get it active, log into game and type:
/Bind_load_file Block1.txt
That's it, you're done.
One thing to keep in mind, if you are taken out of block by some means other than you pressing your block key (Such as being mezzed), it breaks the block bind cycling. It's nothing major, just tapping block once or twice to get you back into cycle is easy enough. I found I got used to it fairly quickly.
I Hope you find this as useful as I do, I can't imagine playing without it anymore, manually maintaining block would drive me insane at this point.

Hope everyone that asked me about it finds it useful, thanks for reading.
