Hi everyone, COH player here about to hit 40 for the first time. I posted a build before (which got no replies >:(!) but after actually playing through the game I've made a lot of changes - could still use help though!
For reference, this was a Sonic/Energy defender in COH. For those who haven't played it, her strengths were ally shields, some buffs/debuffs, and moderate ranged damage and control. I'm purposefully avoiding healing because I find that healers in this game have little time to do anything else.
I also would like to stick to that concept - light and sound. I've been having a hard time finding powers that A. I can substitute for light and B. aren't awful (Force Detonation is perfect visually for example but I HATE the knockback). The lack of ally buffs has been hard to get used to, but with AoRP, IDF and the Heal Aura, I find I'm doing a pretty good job of keeping my team alive passively.
I should add that I prefer to play and build defensively, hence the tank/support specs and no active offense, although if there are no better ideas to fill my last power slot I'll probably take one. For the 38 slot I'm considering Planar Fracture, Unleashed Rage, Conviction, and Smoke Bomb but am open to other ideas!

take REC instead of END as SS. REC as secondary also i normally enough so you can maybe
take EGO as primary for better crit and a defense boost.
