Have to relearn the game

So I am back after a long hiatus, and I am SO confused by the changes. I have also forgotten.. pretty much everything about the game that there is to forget.

Before I was forced away, I wanted to make a sort of mystical DPS/Healer build that focused on magic (I wanted to avoid psi but I dont remember if I ended up doing that in the build).

I know nothing about this game now, SO much about it has changed ion the last year and 2 months.

Would anyone be so kind as to suggest a build? I would at least like something to jump off from. I really don't know anything and I am totally lost.

Any help and explanations and such would be SO much help. Thanks guys.

well as for changes, crafting turned into mods and fusion, which is kinda harder than the original system,we have alerts, which if you do smashes can be a very fast "powerleveling" method.Recently we have had the addition of many new TPs,rampage alerts, which give questionite rewards, and questionite is a "time bases currency" which can be used to exchange for Zen at player made rates and offers. Also the new Nighthawk event( a mission chain from defender that is a daily) allows us to get a chance to get new vehicles from a grab bag,and vehicles are basically become devices now,but will become customizable in the future as stated in the UNTIL field report from last month, the UNTIL field report can tell u a bit more than I can about some of the new stuff.

AOPM and AORP are way better than pre F2P and AOPM has become almost a must have in PVP which tells you a lot.
Paranormal damage dealers could go Seraphim or Aura or both if you like. When doing damage I tend toward Shadow Embrace (great for late game kiting), Skarns Bane and Ebon Ruin but.....
Telekinetic now has a few new ranged damage attacks that are worthy of consideration.
TK Burst - charge up AOE can do up to 5 targets
TK Assault - 4 sec maintain with a nasty spike toward the end of it's maintain (can be fired on the move too)
TK Lance is a very heavy attack that even in my (never min maxed yet) hands can one shot a Manipulator
Mental discipline is a toggle buff much like Form of the whatever man and ups Ego damage from TK quite nicely

So you might wanna try a ranged TK build with Seraphim as a passive or maybe AOPM

A possible TK damage + heals levelling friendly build
Superstats: Dex/Int/Ego in no particular order if Seraphim or Ego Form, Pre/Int/Ego if AOPM

    TK damage + heals
Level 1: Kinetic Darts Incisive wit adv gives a 15% chance of Ego Surge v nice
    Level 1: Telekinetic Assault
Level 6: Telekinetic Burst good for stacking ego leech
    Level 6: Flight
Level 8: Ego Form or Seraphim or AOPM
    Level 11: Conviction
    Level 14: Ego Reverberation
Level 17: Telekinetic Lance consumes Ego leech giving bonus damage which gets very nasty indeed
    Level 20: Empathic Healing
    Level 23: Masterful Dodge
    Level 26: Telekinetic Shield
    Level 29: Redemption
Level 32: Skarn's Bane for when you really need a maintained AOE or maybe sigils or a pet or Ego Storm
Level 35: Iniquity or Mindful Reinforcement or Ego Surge
    Level 35: Teleport
Level 38: Pyromancer's Blades or Summon Shadows or Sigils or Mindful Reinforcement

With my own specific healer build (pre TK review) I went for Radiance, Shadow Embrace, Skarns Bane and Ebon Ruin as my attacks I also went dual passive with AORP and Seraphim also Pre/Con/Int but it's not a levelling build.

Dex/Int/Ego is hackneyed but it does work nicely for levelling, get to 40 then mess around a bit.

    Vindicator: Merciless (3/3)
    Vindicator: Focused Strikes (3/3)
    Vindicator: Offensive Expertise (2/2)
    Mastery: Ego Mastery (1/1)

She's fragile but very deadly and runs around constantly, hence why recovery is important to her. She's not going to just camp in a circle. If you don't kill her off, she's just going to heal up in a few seconds and be back to throwing imbued TK lances at you, and they HURT!!! That's her focus power afterall, build up stacks of Ego Lee

Slyvia's build is NOT one to use if you're new to the game. If you're new to the game, explore the brick set (might, earth, etc.), what I have here is something... tricky... requires special combos. For example on of her combos is this whole chain that forms her active offense cycle which I have to do before the stacks of Ego Leech wear off:
    1. TK Assault
    2. Ebon Ruin
    3. Imbue
    4. Ego Surge
    5. TK Lance
(FYI: Skarn's Bane is her AoE attack and it IS buffed notably by Ego Surge)

She's a lot to manage (read: she's a glass canon and requires a lot of combo tactics) and has a lot to do with timing, situational awareness, and experience. That said she kicks some *** and doesn't need AoPM to do it!

(like I keep saying, I only have one character with AoPM, all my others use some other slotted passive and are built around a theme)

As always you NEED to test things yourself, to see if you:
    A. Like to play that way
    B. If it's effective enough
