So I have been playing around with the idea of making a character based around slime. It is a tough one to say the least. Basically he will control slime and either be made of it, or maybe something similar to the symbiote suit (minus the whole life of its own and look really dark and evil thing).
I've played in the tailor a bit and not really sure what direction to go or if it is even a concept that I will be able to do to my liking.
So if anybody has suggestions on maybe some costume combos that would help achieve it or similar characters you would want to share? This is NOT a "make me a costume" thread, simply looking for a bit of inspiration and direction. My brain is fried and a just need a little jump start.
If you have them the Roin'esh weapon hands are great for a slime/symbiote character. An asymmetrical costume would help with the fluidity feeling of being made of slime, especially if you want to go the whole "it's still learning to be stable" thing. The vine pieces would go well with the concept too if you're going for a sortof Venom's tendrils look.
If you want symbiote/ooze like costume peices,Roin'esh set from the C store is the way to go,add any of the three slime TPs from recognition and your set.
Yeah the TPs are a given. Quicksand is a must. I was playing around with the roinesh gun hand a little yesterday. The roinesh lend well to the concept for sure. As does the swamp set. The asymetrical look is a good idea.
The problem you'll run into is that the vine pieces aren't based on skin tone and depending on the color choices it can be difficult to match with the roin'esh hand pieces.
Anybody who knows me knows I'm probably the least creative person ever, but here's something I came up with quick
Yeah trying to match the skin tone to certain pieces is a real pain. I do like the idea of wearing clothes over the slime, it was something else I wanted to play with.
I was going more along the lines that he was using his shape shifting abilities to create the outfit like Odo from DS9. Rather than wearing clothes they're part of his chosen form. Not that you can really tell from looking, but that's the reason in my head
I've got a Shapeshifter named Mimic, his costumes consist almost entirely of costumes made by other people. I've got Roxstar, Red Soviet Damage, Brigade, an Inkling, Unholy Roller, and a Purple Ganger made by Flying Finn. The ones that are mine are my main Franklin, Mimic's normal outfit and a Canadian variant for when he's traveling abroad, and a cowboy based on the big cowboy statues from the 50s and 60s. I never made him a costume for when he's "between forms" though. I leveled him almost exclusively with the Become devices. It made combat really fun and interesting dropping in and out of forms and combining their powers and such.
