Avian Warrior set complaints

Okay, while I appreciate that this is available to the 900+ day vets, I do have some complaints about it.
1. Feathers - The head looks great and I really like the wings, and the tail is better than the prior one. The torso and legs, not so much.
There's a feathery bit around the shoulders, but not much in the way of texture for the rest of the torso. Similarly, there's the feathery bit for the upper legs, and a bit where the feathers end on a normal bird, but the middle (meaning most of the thigh) is just smooth. Both of these things mean that bird people you make don't look very birdlike.
I realize in the concept art these areas were covered by the bird armor bits, but since the navel is exposed on the female even with the armor, that area should look feathery too.
Maybe two options.. one for full on feathers, one for partial feathers? Depending on if you want to be bird or bird-man, like maybe the full feather option is a chest - tights option, like the tiger strips. Let all 4 color options do something (like it does for the wings and tail).
Further, you should not only be able to affect feather color with the regular 4 color options, but there should be the options on the full feather choice for different feather patterns, for example, a robin with different chest plumage to the rest of the torso.
Which brings up the next issue.
2. Undergarment wackiness?
a. Why is there a bra on the bird torso skin? If I'm making a male toon, I certainly don't need/want a bra, even with the partially feathered option. That's just silly. Similarly, if I want the full feather torso (per #1) it should be like tiger stripes or other tights options.
b. Why a feather texture briefs area on the legs? Give us the option for briefs or not (like the fur options, or tiger stripes again).
Speaking of options
3. Legs and feet -
a. Why do the bird legs not work with any other foot type (at least for the male, it works sort of okay for female)?
b. Why do the bird feet not work with any other leg type?
4. Why are the only bird hands a glove? Give us a feathery option (maybe with talons optional) for the hands.
5. Why does the bird people hips layer exclude the bird people legs?
6. Why don't the males get the hip armor option? (or why do females get more options?)
There's probably other things peeps have issues with too, I may not have played with it enough to see them.
Which brings me to the major problem
7. Skin tone - Why in the world are the feathers tied to skin tone?
Skin tone should (maybe) be for the lower legs and feet and perhaps a little around the eyes (where the feathers might be thinner). Skin tone should definitely NOT define the feathers.
If I want to make a parrot, I should be able to have black or orange or other skin tone feet without having the feathers be the same color, alternately, if I have green feathers, why are my feet green too?

What a pie in the face to many players who will never get to make a bird toon.
My excitement dropped quite a bit when I saw the state the Avian Warrior set was in.
One thing the OP didn't mention is that the head isn't attached to the shoulders (cue headless chicken jokes...) - there's quite the gap. It can be covered with chest pieces certainly, but if you want to do a hero without those, you're out of luck.
It's rather sad that a 900-day vet reward is as incomplete and buggy as this one - I mean what's *with* the bra on male torsos?
Here's hoping against hope for a fix to what could have been an excellent set.
I did manage to make a costume that I'm pretty satisfied with, but it was a fight against the set; something I'm not really used to with CO.
