I would like for you guys to fix and make the report choice better and actually check the situation BEFORE PUTTING MUTE!.
I was a Theater at MC and there was a Costume Contest i wasn't participating the only thing i was doing was dancing on the runway, the hosters told me to go away BUT since it's a game and i can do what ever i want without breaking rules or offending/discriminating anyone i just stayed there(with a funny costume) dancing in the middle without bothering anyone. They reported just for that! and i got muted for 24 hours because " i was spamming" which i wasn't at all! You guys save the chat logs so you can go and see that i wasn't spamming. Many people get muted for no reason just because you guys don't really check the problem and just take the easy way and mute people without any reason. Either you guys need to fix that PROBLEM or it will keep happening and people will start leaving the game.

Two things:
1. Yes, the 'report spam' feature gets abused a lot and people should not get silenced for it. It is actually an automatic process, which is not reviewed by a GM or anything.
2. The Power House theater was specifically set up for holding costume contests. By you being there and not participating in the contest nor leaving when asked by those holding a costume contest, you were in fact trolling. You were disrupting the costume contest and actually do not have any "right" to be there; Just because this is a game doesn't mean you can do whatever you want. What purpose, as far as playing the game goes, did you dancing on the runway while people were trying to hold a costume contest, serve? If it was fun for you to be defiant and disruptive to those trying to actually run an in-game event, then it only reinforces that you were trolling...

Maybe next time you show some respect to other people and not just 'Me, Myself and I'.

See the highlighted text. If what you were doing was not bothering anyone they would not have reported you.
Silencing people who interfere with an organized costume contest because, "I can do whatever I want," is pretty much the only redeeming quality (not much of one I admit) of the current system.
For what its worth, being put on ignore by enough people will get you muted.
1) those theaters were created specifically for organized costume contests.
2) You chose to act in a fashion to interfere with others use of the location for its intended purpose.
3) You are now suffering the consequence of your decision to act as described in #2.
4) Profit.
You suggest that people may leave the game because they have been muted for griefing others...how many do you think might leave the game because they are being griefed by people who believe that they, "can do anything I want ?"

You Danced on the runway,which was disrupting their CC,and they warned you to go away.While the system does need to be removed because of abusing WAYYY TOO MUCH,this isn't an example of a wrongful silence,in fact you even said they warned you to go away,this is what happens to people who troll,don't troll and you won't get silenced at CCs.....unless somebody abuses it.

Yeah so are other games like soccer or card games etc. That doesn't mean because you can something you should do or abuse it. It's kind of the same with bugs... if you can use them... does it makes them legal to use or is it fair? No... not at all.... Such people like you i hate the most who think they can do what they want... and beisdes i think most agree if i say that this kind of things, they are unwritten rules.

Yeah but context is part of rights. Most people just dont understand the underpinnings of human rights philosophy. Our rights end when they reach the natural border of anothers equal rights. examples:
I have the right to practice martial arts, i don't have the right to practice them on an unsuspecting elderly woman walking her dog who has no knowledge of let alone given consent for the iminant karate bout.
I have the right to wear a ski-mask, i don't have the right to scare bank tellers and customers by wearing it as i go into a bank.
I have the right to walk around and satnd in the local mall, i don't have the right to walk onto the stage and stand around in front of the little schoolkids doing their christmas choir singing disrupting the whole thing.
I have a right to dance around on the runway in the power house theatre, i don't have the right to harass people having a costume contest by doing so.
It's not consequence to me that makes those wrong, or any societally accepted injustice of the past like slavery was fine because there wasn't a consequence for having slaves and there was for freeing them from others. It's that my rights end where another persons rights start. And the OP blatently ignored the rights of everyone else who was participating in and the audience of that costume contest.
The system might be being abused by griefers but not in this case.
