An Alerts coordinator in Vibora Bay

With the new Alerts system it's hard to spend much time outside Millennium City. I understand (perhaps mistakenly) that getting people to hang around MC more is part of the goal, but other Zones are hurting for it -- if someone wants to build a 5-man team for one of the big Lairs in the other Zones, they must go to MC to recruit.

If I want to do Mission chains in Monster Island or Vibora Bay, but still do the Alert Missions, I have to travel back to Ren Cen to get the Alert Missions from Lt. Patil.

And it takes time to travel between zones, particularly when you add in the time it takes to go from the Mission chain location to the transport, then from the transport to the Ren Cen, and then back again. That's time that could be spent in actual content (Alert or regular).

It would be very nice if we could have Alert coordinators in other Zones. I think it would be a bit much to have them in all the Zones; but since about half the Alerts take place in Vibora Bay, I think it would make sense to have one there. This individual could be stationed next to the UNTIL terminal at the docks, and not look out of place.

Why aren't you using the Crime Computer - the Alerts guy is listed there.. You can even turn in the dailys w/o having to talk to him directly. There's no *need* to stay in MC at all.

    No, I didn't know that.

Just to be clear: I can use my Crime Computer to accept and turn in the Daily Alert Missions, without even having to be in MC, correct?

yep, does that with a lot of missions, really saves you some time instead of going to them directly to turn the mission in.
