...the kind and generous souls, who placed some of the Blood Moon Special Drops (Radion's Revenge, etc) at sub 250Global prices so that I (and perhaps other in the Silver Level boat..er raft...er dighy) could purchase them (if we did not by happenstance of the random number/drop table generator get them during the event).
Be it kindness (or you had way too many of the stinking things piling up in your hideout bank and made out like a bandit), I thank you.
Oh and a special shout out to Dr. Defender and the Society for the invite and the warm welcome.

I really don't understand why PWE does not sell tokens in the Z-Store that allow Silvers to raise their resources limit in incremental amounts; kind of like the tokens that increase bank and auction house slot totals.
Seems to me that those are even more likely to sell for a silly-high price than those mod ranking catalysts. Oh well.

It would make sense, too. People who need a higher resource limit clearly intend on playing the game more.

Hey Chances! Haven't had the privilege of meeting you yet, but since I'm pretty sure Dr. Defender is one of Jeepers' alts, you must be talking of SODLAG. Welcome aboard, and happy to meet you.

PWE doesn't think they can make more money from the game than they already are. If they did you'd see it.
You'd also see piles of lockboxes everywhere. It's a trade off.
My favorite when people sell becomes for 400g. Golds don't need em, mostly, and silvers can't afford em. Silly, that.
I'd speculate it's because PWE would rather you spend more $ in the Z store to buy one or more become device(s) than to spend a one time amount to increase your max global amount.

that's cryptic you're talking about ,PWE much rather wants this game fully F2P but cryptic is stopping them from doing that.
Yeah, but if they up the global cap with a tiered purchase (like, 500, 1k, 2, 5, etc) it'd be a multiple purchase, and then the new becomes, when bought to auction, would fly faster and be a better cash for globals investment. I mean, wtf, we can already (technically) farm zen, so it's possible to get em free. Since we have freeform slots for sale, why not offer the last bits to turn a free to play account into a pseudo-paid account? They'd probably make more money on it than they would if that person stuck around, really. 50 for the freeform, plus bag slots, a bank slot or 2, global cap increases... They'd easily milk a hundred bucks off that free to play player (especially considering costume sets) if they did this. It makes sense to me, it's a one shot lifetime sub, for just one toon, at a third of the price. And you could buy it in increments. All around, a desirable option.
In game, I am @EvilTaco. Happily killing purple gang members since May 2008.
Because currency in this game is complete bull**** and the only way for it to mean anything is to put arbitrary limitations on it.
Almost. But limiting Silvers to a certain amount is only putting a cap on the individual transactions.
As noted, pricing Becomes above 250 globals is just silly as Silvers cannot carry that much and Golds will simply let their monthly stipend accumulate if they want one. The same can be said for most Z-store resellable items.
Costume unlocks priced above 250 globals are very common but as they are acct-wide unlocks, once the Golds have them a price higher than 250 globals won't sell.
But allowing Silvers to raise their cap by 50 globals per global cap increase token from the Z-store would encourage both multiple purchases from the Z-store and impulse buying of multiple cap increase tokens at one-time to get that "gotta have nao" item.
I guess it all depends on how that "XP Gifting" feature gets implemented.
I'd also like to say thank you to all those people who realise my limitations as a Silver and sell items at a reasonable price. It's nice to know not everyone is unwilling to compromise
Also my CyberGirl and Stratogale are enjoying SODLAG
I placed a nimbus in AH and told zone I had placed it there for 250g today and zone said I waz being mean* :O
* will admit my actual words were "attention froobs I haz placed a nimbus in AH for 250g If you be wanting It I suggest you run like b@%^hes now"
It got sold fast.
My name is Nepht and ima helpling \o/
Heroic, that is. Nimbus isn't really worth more than that anyway. Only reason the prices are so distorted right now is because we haven't had a bm in like 8 months (which sounds painful depending on context) so good on you for not price gouging.

Um that's called "supply and demand"
And it's taught in every ECON and MARKETING class i've ever seen.
An item's "worth" is defined by it's availability.
Or haven't you been buying gasoline for the last 20 years
Actually, no, I haven't. lol because it's too damn expensive. I ride a bike.
I agree with supply and demand, which is why I advocate the offering of a purchased global cap. But, artificial inflation is also an economics thing, no? That's what this feels like.

If you want for the price on here to go down the need and availability(for items that is) to go down also.Like with the questionite exchange, prices on that shot up when they had a sale a few weeks ago,and then after the CP to Z conversion they went down alot because it was now harder to reach the amount of Z.Supply and demand is what people can use to control the market either on the Q exchange or with items.
