Party Bomb. Worth the buck?

I love Champions, and i certainly like seeing new things to buy in the C-store that DO interest me. One of the thing i SHOULD have loved a lot more, but cant is the Party Bomb.

Id like to explain this to help Cryptic regain peoples interest in the item, aswell as help the players get more bang for their buck.

[Party Bomb]
300ft
Effects all in a 15ft sphere.
(max 20 within the 15ft)

It costs real life money for Zen points, as it does cost 150 Zpoints, for x1 Party Bomb.
10 Party Bombs cost 1500 Zpoints, it quickly becomes expensive.

Onto my point...
It can be used on someone up to 300ft away, of which theres not really much in the game that can fire over 100ft, and it only effects up-to 20 targets in a 15ft sphere on impact.

Considering the cost of the item, shouldnt the Party Bomb have NO TARGET CAP, and effect things MORE than 15ft?

15ft is very small, considering the unusual throw-range of 300ft.

Parhaps Cryptic/PW, you have these two figures the wrong way around?

I want Cryptic/PW to have more sales and have the Party Bomb be a more fun and successful selling item, but to do this, the Party Bomb needs to have a much much hieghtened and area of effect. Sure 1 or 2 people might find it annoying, but you have to realise, someone spent money on that Party Bomb, and you can simply stop dancing by moving a little if you so desire.

15ft is not going to be effective enough, to make the Party Bomb an interesting enough item to buy in its current state. As well as finding 20 players within this small area of effect, is extremely unlikely.

That is my observasion of the day :) goodnight!

There ought to be a permanent version available in the Z-store or Q-vendor. It's a waste of money for a 1-time use vanity effect.

I don't know about vanity effect. I've used them a few times on villains as a short term hold/placate.

I agree, and switching the dimensions (for the max range and radius of effect for the AoE) visa versa would be better and pretty simple to do.

    Ideally I would say:
    max range = 100 ft
    AoE radius = 100 ft

As there's a cap on how many can be affected that ok, it'll just use the 20 players or pets nearest to the target.

And yes party bombs DO work on summoned pets! Gnashers are the most hilarious to watch because of their tiny little arms. IT'S. SO. CUTE!

If you ask me they should also affect action figures hehe

If the item only affected NPC's and/or willing PCs I would support this. As it stands I cannot.
