Veteran Rewards cap...sorta.

Just a random idea since we already have up to the 1000 days reward as of today.

Maybe just cap it at the badge, then start over from 200 days when implementing new rewards.

Meaning Veteran Rewards updates. if you have the 100 days veteran badge, then you now get X reward on top of what is given already.

The idea only cropped up cause:

1) With the signature city being "Millennium" City, seems like a good place to stop at 1000 days.
2) It ends up being badge clutter at a certain point and it starts to lose its status symbol credibility after receiving the title "The Ultimate"
3) And at that point, one is only sticking around for the new rewards anyways, so we'd still be getting them; but I'd be nice to let the next generation catch up.
4) We have the anniversary Perk badges anyways to milestone our total length of game time against others so it kinda gets redundant. Maybe instead have those Anniversary Event Perks that say you attended the event made account wide unlocks.

Anyway it might not be a popular idea, but I figure i'd need saying anyways.

I'm not sure I understand; Are you saying that, for instance, at the 1100 day mark, you'd be given the 100 day veteran reward again, and at the 1200 day mark, you'd be given the 200 day veteran reward again?

For things that can stack, like retcons, costume change tokens, etc, that seems cool, but what about the things that don't stack, (like costume sets)? I suppose they'd either have to set a cutoff point at which to stop w/ vet rewards all together, or implement some repeating cycle instead, (which I would find preferable  ).

For those things that can't stack. like costume sets, etc; they can come out with new sets that get awarded to both those who already have the perk (1100 days) as well as those who just hit that mark (100 days).

Yeah it'd be a repeating cycle. Only the ones who have already have them would still gain new rewards (where applicable) as if they were reaching a new milestone anyways.

I think I remember a post by a dev a while ago saying they would probably stop at 1000 days.

I think I remember a post by a dev a while ago saying they would probably stop at 1000 days.

It makes sense if that's the case. If they did continue with new rewards in line with the suggestion, I was thinking of something like this for example:
    • 100 days: Wooden Mallet: Heavy Weapon + MA Weapon skin as a variant to the Hammer Bracer.
    • 200 days: Wizard Staff: Weapon Skin to compliment the Robes.
    • 300 days: Chariot: Either a Travel Power or a Vehicle if vehicles are available at that time.
    • 400 days: Archangel Helmet: A dome helmet based on Therakiel's; though instead it being 1 of 3 other variants of either a Lion, Ox or Eagle Theme.
      • Additionally a VIP Guestlist Item: That awards a tradable, limited duration (24 Hours) access to the VIP Lounge when used.
    • 500 days: Special Edition Action Figure: Bronze King
    • 600 days: ???
    • 700 days: ???
    • 800 days: ???
    • 900 days: Thaar Weaponry: Complementary unique weapons associated with the people of Thaar.
    • 1000 days: Another Millennial Travel Power (Super Speed/Super Jump/etc) + another round of glowing tights?

    How about this:

Every 100 days after 1000 is another retcon.

Since anyone who's played that long is probably going to find a use for them, without it being game-breaking or locking something greatly-desired away from the majority portion of the playerbase (Bird set...).

Doesn't even take any resources from Cryptic to set up,I wouldn't think.
