Cause they arnt Devs they have nothing to do with the development of any of the actual games.

The old dev digest contained the CM team as well as the dev team. Why shouldn't the new one?

When an employee of PWE or Cryptic posts it should show up in the dev digest. Limiting it to just developers is silly since they hardly ever post. And even when they do it's usually in the PTS forum which is inaccessible to silvers.

Neither you or trailturtle show up in the dev digest. Darthpanda16 doesn't either. You guys should get that fixed.

I mean, it's not like there are a ton of CO employees left. How hard is it to give the extremely short list to the web team and get them onto the dev digest?

Not hard. Partly, Darth and I are on the publishing side rather than the dev side -- partly, it's just not something we'd thought to make happen. For us on this side, moderating privileges are enough to do everything we need, we don't need the dev digest.

But! It's a good point. I'll kick that one around, maybe we'll get added to the digest.

It shouldnt be like that for one simple reason. Noobs be seeing DEV POST and get the wrong idea and spam TT with bug reports the chaps job is gonna be hard enough with us crazy lot as it is.

He doesnt need "Y U NO FIX TARGETING" every time he posts :/

The alternative is for everyone else to miss out on potentially important info. Not everyone has the time or desire to scour the forums and doing individual name searches looking for team posts (which is how I found THIS thread, as it's not in the SNN section). It's a function the dev digest had previously; I'm simply asking for its return.

FWIW, the subhead under Dev Tracker says "read the most recent posts by Cryptic Studios employees", telling you right there that despite the name, it should include more than just devs.

An alternative would be to create a separate community tracker like they have in City of Heroes. That way people don't confuse CMs with devs, and vice-versa. Personally I think it's a bit overkill, but it might alleviate your concern.

Well after a week of not being able to play the game, reported, ticket sent, and no reply to the thread dedicated to said issues or the ticket sent in - it seems Cryptic/PWE has no need for me to spend any more money on this game.

The company clearly is not concerned about customer service, not concerned about responding to problems preventing a paying customer from playing - and not concerned about the fact that they are sending the message to simply not bother trying to play anymore - or pay anymore either.

And to think I was going to waste a bunch of time making some long winded posts with suggestions and ideas for ways to improve things, based on 20+ years of various types of gaming and running games and making up our own rules to balance things.

The company is obviously not looking for new players anymore, a fact I will be sure to relate to all the many thousands of players in DDO land or wherever else I happen to play.

It is sad, the game has all sorts of potential and some of it is very fun, too bad it is being wasted and no effort at all being made for any endgame or to keep people around in general.

    Good luck.
Same happened to me with STO a year and 2 months ago while I was happily PAYING for my sub. Asked for help from Cryptic, got none. Said I didn't want to unsub, still no help was offered. Fellow posters in the tech support forum tried to assist me, and Storm Shade responded to my 2nd "help me" thread about a year ago. Still waiting for that help.

At least CO works. Why this game is fine, but not STO is still a mystery, but I do know the problems started with the auto team/fleet/FA Que BS that got implemented with Season 4: Misfire. Psh!

First up TT said it himself.

Secondly sorry TT I aint getting at you , you seem awesome.

Everytime Stormshade posted in the old forums and it came up as DEV post was a bit of a insult to the DEVS as in SS was just a PR guy chances are he doesnt know much programing . A forum mod (and that was what SS was really) isnt a DEV .

For your information even under the old DEV tracker for "Cryptic employees" it was still wrong can someone who's paid to moderate the forums REALLY be called a proper part of Cryptic. I am sorry if it sounds bitchy but no PR person should share the same tag as Splo or Tumerboy. Again not being bitchy but all of CO and STO know Tumerboy but can the same be said for Stormshade? Only forum lurkers like us know of SS.

If you want to find their posts your just gonna have to look harder because what I have seen with all the Perfect World forums is that DEV tags are for DEV's only.

I dont think they will change that here. What should happen is they should have a tag that works in the same way as a DEV tag maybe a PR tag or something like you have said.

    NOW back on topic :

What TT could do is somehow get a hold of customer support and ask them to have another look at Riggsmax's problem cause that would be some awesome public relations.

Riggs, I might be able to help if you can provide me (or CS) with more information -- specifically, with some information to prove your identity. While you may not be able to access your old email, if you've charged in the past, you may be able to prove that you're the account owner if you can rattle off credit card numbers, security info, etc.

I'd recommend replying to the ticket and very clearly stating that you don't have access to the registered email, and you'd like to prove your identity through alternate methods.

    Thank you for your reply.

However I had replied to the CS email 3 times, and twice got back the same canned response that was cut and paste word for word identical all 3 times.

It seemed like whoever was sending it was not actually reading the content of the email - as I explained each time that I was unable to change my email, and getting the response "Please change your email first" was not very helpful.

If you send me a pm with an alternate method of contact or set of security questions I can reply to that (the forum also wont let me send anyone else a pm directly myself).

And to get back on topic that SS so kindly knocked us off. People are having a good old laugh at Riggs being locked out of his account. This is plain wrong. I am no friend of the Uber Ego Noob BUT the fact that this new login system has blocked a paying customer from accessing the game is just not on its not something we should be having a party about.

And yes he should have been more up to date to what email he actually uses and stuff but still CS should still be able to fix this for him. He has actually contacted them and all he gets is canned answers.

Like I said before Riggsmax is our very own Booster Gold and the game would be a little less"interesting" without the egomaniac .

    Thanks.

...damned by faint praise. But I'll take it.

No problem , theres a difference between someone like Art Monster ( before ur time and be thankful of this fact :D ) and someone who stays in character WAY TO MUCH.

Just dont be quick to anger all the peeps u seem to argue with are actually rather swell when you get to know them.

Think I stick up for u cause you remind me of me when I first started I had played many mmo's thought I knew it all but I didnt.

-Are you sure you can't directly send a PM? If so, that's a pretty serious issue I need to bug, please let me know the symptoms. I sent you a PM, see if you can reply.

-What's your ticket number? My usual first step is to ask CS to take a closer look.

Woo? A 'solution' huh. Well I think I've had the same problem with Riggs but I can't even check my tickets now, I can't wait to get back in if this problemo is resolved.

Hmm. Could you PM me the ticket number? Also, have you sent in an email to Customer Support, or are you unable to access your registered email?
