You screwed up the Advanced Search too?!?!?

Now I can't search for words in the titles of posts only anymore.

Now I get lots of results and I can't tell easily if any of them are on the topic I want.

So now instead of seeing if someone else has started a thread that I can add to, I'll just have to start new ones all the time.

    I was able to filter by title only on the advanced search page. You have to make sure that the drop down selection is 'Search Titles Only' rather than the default 'Search Entire Posts'.

    What you can't do is search for "ice" or "PA" or "TK" or other short terms.

    With some of them you have to hope the poster spelled out the full phrase instead of abbreviating, but you just can't do anything about "ice."

    Much as I hate to not blame someone for this :), it's how the old board was working also. Yeah, it's a *****-kitty to not be able to look up HW or Ice or Ego or such... but that's the way it rolled.

    That doesn't mean it doesn't need fixed... but it's not a new issue.

    I wouldn't really say they screwed up the advanced search as much as I'd say that PWE switched everything over to using their forums server and their forums software, and that software already had a screwed up advanced search.
