Basement hideout rooms

I logged in and found myself outside the map of my basement hideout, allowing me a view behind the two doors that are down there. I thought thy were just a wall texture, but there are actually rooms back there. Is something wrong with my game, or are these meant to be for something else? Can anyone else access these rooms?

    They aren't currently open to use. There are rooms like that in all of the bases. The Moon base at least lets you look at them when you open the shields and go outside, but you still can't enter them.

    AFAIK, they were going to be a crafting room and some sort of training area or something else.

    Sadly, Tumerboy (who ended up designing most of the Hideout stuffs) now works for STO instead of CO. So who knows when/if we'll get an addon to the Hideouts.

    I found a gym-esque room when I disconnected myself in the Penthouse roof, I thought about posting the pics on the forums but they were too heavy (back when there were attachments anyways). Cryptic actually surprised me with hideouts, they created entire suggestion threads and hinted at a number of potential functions but that seems all but forgotten as it is.

    Yeah they were mostly Tumerboy's pets. I'm sure at some point he'll make the rounds back over here but there's no telling when/if that'll happen or if he'll be working on that stuff when he does.

    Nothing new there, something that was about happen, never does. Just gets dumped into an empty room behind locked door.

    Well, the need for a training room has kinda vanished as you can now train anywhere, and the need for a crafting room has gone the same route, as you can fuse or place mods, from anywhere.

    The hideouts now really only serve as an RP environment or to access your own private tailor or hideout storage.

    or in the case of the Penthouse, as a free warp back to MC - though I fear it's just a matter of time before that feature gets relabeled as a "bug" and hotfixed instead of the countless legitimate bugs the game still has.

    The ability to travel to MC was clearly stated to be a feature of the hideout - one that was added as a sort of "like to have" by Tumerboy since he managed to find the time.

    Still, I would like to have a practice dummy added AND the ability to undo power picks for free, before leaving your hideout, just like you can do in the power house - just allow us to interact w/ the crime computer like we would a power house trainer.

    I heard that Tumerboy won't be coming back to CO. As in never. So all if not most projects he did will remain as they are.

    Well considering the state STO is in, he may not be over there much longer.

    Everything, even the penthouse, has extra rooms that we cannot access at this time. They were intended to eventually be expanded to personal crafting and powerhouse services, but then everybody's ********, moaning, and complaining scared Tumerboy off to STO. Now we've lost him and the hideout development has ground to a hault.

    I hope everybody who was complaining to him about every little thing in the game that he doesn't even have control over got what they wanted out of it.

    Nope. No way to access it without a Hideout. It also mentions this if you try to buy Shared Account Bank Slots (saying that you MUST have a Hideout in order to use these).

    Hopefully someone else will pick up the torch and finish these rooms :/

    Being a Lifer, I got "free" Hideouts when they came out (and bought the rest a few months later on when they went on sale...). Recently I've had some friends join the game as Silvers and I wasn't sure what to tell them about some things (like this). So thanks for the answer!

    I would like to see the gym like rooms added,I dont see why they cant just remove the door blocking them and let us in them.just open it up and add the features when possible I suppose.The gym like room would make an excellent spot for roleplayers or maybe a strobe light like thing could be added in that room for the people who like to have "parties" in them.

    I realize this is probably a dead thread or most people on it know this but the moon hideouts extra rooms are enterable through a glitch. If you stand on the roof of one and quickly log in and out or now just go the switch character menu you will reload inside of the secret room. to get out however you need to leave the map or use the killme command.

    More like they don't care enough to commit someone to actually clean stuff before opening the door.

    Some maps have small unfinished patches.

    Not to mention all this stuff amassed in crafting room. It is useless now, so it would need to be deleted, at least.
