Can we hide the Alerts panel?

This is something that is frustrating me a great deal lately.

Because I don't bother doing Alerts or those missions, I have the panel permanently minimized, so it's not on my screen unless I want to see it.

But everytime a new kind of Alert cycles in, the panel automaximizes without my authorisation.

I checked the UI and there's no way to designate it as "hidden" so you can't see it at all.

Cryptic needs to add a permanent minimize function or a hide function so it stops flashing up every 10 minutes!

The way it pops up when the alerts cycle was actually added by the devs, on purpose. It didn't do that initially - I guess they really want to reiterate that alerts are here to stay...

If you leave the window open, it doesn't flash. That's the only solution I can think of, besides taping a piece of paper over that pat of your computer screen . . .

F12, Move the second 'Minimap' box to the bottom of the screen off to the side, which is the alerts box.

    That's an imprecise solution.

Because sometimes i want to see it.

But if it annoys me enough, I will do it!

And I'm fast approaching that point now.......

Yeah, bout the only thing to do to truly hide it from view would be to manually moving it with F12 into a corner.

Incidentally, once it's hidden in a corner, you still can queue up for Alerts, they're just in the Alerts tab of your PvP menu findeable on the minimap. But... No pretty thumbnail images of the foe. :'(
