July 4th Free Travel Power- How do you install it?

I just earned the free travel power and cannot figure out how to equip it.
Do I need to remove powers and rebuild my character in order to do this? I just had to rebuild my character two to three weeks ago (This is the 2-3 time I've had to rebuild my toon which becomes annoying). I currently am lvl 24 and saving one advantage point to spend when I hit lvl 25.

I collected my travel power as a reward but it is not in my inventory, power tray or power manifest. I've tried talking to a trainer and viewing the travel video but neither has helped. What is going on with making this more difficult than it has to be Cryptic? Cryptic: Simplicity is beautiful; a simple walk-through/prompts would be helpful.

    It's a travel power, not a device. If you remove your TP and retrain, it'll be all the way at the bottom of the list of TPs.

    This is why, any time you get to/have to rebuild your character, you should always train your TP last. Minimizes the work if you ever want to change it.

    On the plus side, if you just want a character to have it, it's account-wide, so if you have a slot you're not using, you can make a character in there with the power - that's how I handled it on my secondary account (deleted Detroit Iron, replaced with Starshot).

    Or if you have the option you can just make a new toon with said power. It looks really good BTW! Very nice and it was free! Thank you very much Cryptic team. I'm sometimes critical but I am appreciative, especially when you give us stuff like this! Now I just need a Canadian flag travel power :P

    Does it last forever or is this for this even only? Will it be here tomorrow?

    Not sure what the question is, but it is a permanent unlock. The mission that gives it is available until 11.59 pm on July 9th.

    So do you get a free respect/rebuild with this travel power so you can use it?

    The July 4th travel power is my first, I believe. I have Acrobatics. I'm not familiar with the strategy of not spending your advantage points.

    To give Cryptic credit they do provide nice freebies. I started with CO but mainly play STO.

    No free retcon when you obtain it, just like you dont get a free retcon when you buy a TP from the c store.

    No you don't. I wish they would separate TP like they did characteristics and talents. I would be more likely to buy a TP if it were not such a pain to switch TP's on an existing toon.

    What would be ideal is if they separated travel powers, advantage points, and powers. They make money on the recons I suppose. On the plus side though you get free recon at level 40 I belive. You also get one if they tinker with your power set as well.

    This would be nice. Considering they often (enough) add a new travel power to the C store.

    I think you also get them if you're been a veteran for X days. Like a one-year or two-year anniversary for your account.

    Though I don't know if that's everyone... or just Gold members.

    yeah, free retcon at 100 days, 400, 500, 600, 700 and 800. And yes, that only for gold.
