Fuse Cores?

Is it possible to fuse cores? I had a stack of 8 cores, tried to fuse them and was told that they can't be fused. Is this just because they were mysticism cores and my skill is in science, or can they not be fused at all?

    Cores? Like Gambler's Luck Gem and stuff? Fused plenty of those and had no troubles. If i'm not wrong you can fuse Arms, Myst and Science stuff, just that fusing your Skill stuff gives the skill points.

    So if you already have a character that is maxed in a craft style...say science. Is there really any reason to max another character so you have a max craft toon in arms, science and mysticism?

    He's referring to the Avoidance, Crit Severity Cores, etc. And no, I've had no such luck fusing them. Even tried using a Harmon Catalyst (Got Lucky =p), but nope...

    So, PvP cores aren't fusable, go figure :rolleyes:

    They are not specifically PvP cores though - things like offense core. Why would they not allow you to fuse those?

    I think its simply that Cryptic seldom really finish things. The Cores were maybe the first
    version of the system, because i remember talking about PvP mods, and the mods were
    the second version without the PvP stuff, where they also forgot things like avoidance
    and offense. And of course they forgot to replace the quest items against the version 2 mods.

    And like i said, they never finish things, so we now have to live with that system, since its
    already forgotten and Galactica Online is the new FotM :wink:
