Though my name is actually Grant. Anywho! Happy to be here. I'm coming over from City of Heroes, where the cat girls are many, and the combat simple! Where the city is expansive, and the load times frequent. Where the graphics are improved, yet the engine steadily aging...
Anyway, I got back on Champions Online just to remind myself why I stopped playing it, and to my complete surprise...I started playing it.
I don't know what's different, or if I'm just in a different mood, but the sheer potential I saw before me prompted me to go Gold, and since then I haven't regretted it!
Hideouts I am particularly attached to--think about it, how many MMO's give you customizable player housing? Star Wars Galaxies is the only big one that comes to my mind (but that may just be my limited experience with MMOs, so ask yourself instead, "how many super-powered MMO's give you customizable housing?")--but really, everything adds up.
The gameplay mechanics, blocking, charging, being able to take cover behind walls to avoid being hit by ranged attacks, the Kick power which is ten times more fun than in City of Heroes because it does decent damage, never misses, and always knocks back enemies (preferably off towering roof tops), attacks not always 'miss! miss! miss'ing in general...and it's just a really well designed game. The art style is appealing, the engine is appealing, the customization is appealing...it's just a lot of fun!
Anywho, if you're still reading (or skipping ahead), I'm just introducing myself like folks in this thread usually do, so "hello" and hope we all have fun. It's a really well done game, and I thank the developers particularly for listening to the community--seeing positive and explanatory responses from developers is really encouraging, as is the focus on pleasing the community as best as possible.
Thanks for the welcomings! Though, I don't know about that Cape business Brou--never listened to them or visited their website or whatever-thought it was a radio thing anyway, so how could you see me?

Probably bumped into you by accident in Pocket D and thought you were tuned into the radio station.
