    BUG

Demonflame the end scene does not play nor is the reward given at the end. The cutscene wants to play, but it just sits there showing no conversation or anything and the camera will shift. The Demon Key will not do his spiel either and no token or other reward is given nor does the exist portal appear. The mission still completes, though.

Serpent Lantern's rewards do not seem worth the effort, especially in a team due to the mob number/type scaling. The bunker bosses only dropped the keys to shut down the generators. Viperia's event drops level 1 gear for second place and lower. The Spirit Serpent dropped an appropriate level green secondary.

I got a UNITY Recognition for every boss with a couple giving out extra stuff. Viperia was the only anomaly just giving a low level item and MCPD token.

Did you run since this latest patch? If so it means there's even less incentive to team for SL since it's causing bunker boss drops and the like to not work at all.

I honestly don't even want to look at SL ever again, i've killed freon so many times that he'd be better off just waiting at the entrance to give me an item so i can just take it and leave instead of bothering with murdering all his inept guards and the 3 second fight with him for the 786th time.

Yes, I did it this last patch. What difficulty are you trying to play on? Maybe actually try to figure something out since the bosses are suppose to drop a token for each person, should actually find out what you are doing different besides just teaming.

Just ran it on Elite solo, drops Until tokens and no drops from the bunker bosses other than the keycards.

Youre still going to want to run it for the Questionite Ore. you'll get 1,500 for a full run. Luckily a single costume unlock is only 45,000 Refined Questionite.

Yes, I know no drops, they even told us the drops from them would be randomized, thanks to people that did farm them for easy loot. We were also told that difficulty has no effect on the loot levels, at all.

I bought a T1 Armaments Cache with MCPD Recognition for testing, and when I tried to open it with my level 40, it said the item is restricted to level 18 and below.

Thing is, it's a level 40 item! So trying to open it with a lower level character just gives the error that it requires level 40.

So, if you buy a recognition reward at higher levels, you cannot open it.

"Keep in mind that rewards, including recognition, only drop from critters that con above grey to you"

If the above sentence from the latest Recognition introduction is true, then there are bugs:

I ran a lv 40 character (lv 8 on live server) to Canada Crisis. During test gameplay in the crisis, she could still gain drops from those lv 15 foes. The drops included gears and MCPD recognition.

With the likely8k refinement limit, it's only 6 days per piece.
    Don't be so entitled.

Even the new enhanced travel power skins are accessible in a month of grinding now, since they are only 250k questionite.

Much easier than the crafted travel power grind on live.

The prices are fine, if you aren't the Havitallnao type. :D

Don't forget, you can pay Cryptic points to reduce all these times too, if you are impatient.

Sidekicking: Has been updated to match various power level changes that have occurred to the game in recent changes, as well as many previous changes. This primarily means that sidekicking will have a more pronounced effect than previously - being sidekicked up will make you more powerful than previously, and being sidekicked down will lower your power level more than before.

    [/COLOR]

Sidekicking from lvl 40 to 30 cuts HP in half. Its a "little" overkill imo. Running alerts sometimes is a major pain with current "All sidekick to 30!".

    Alerts:
    • Alert bosses now drop cool, unique loot!
    • Improved UI functionality. Buttons now highlight when moused-over, with Alert names sliding out from queue button!
    • Added perks to Alerts.
    All this: Great.

    Content:
    • Commendation vendors now have costume pieces on them.
    • New "Fusion and Modifications" tutorial. To trigger the tutorial, players must be below level 14 - once they reach level 15, they will be rewarded their first modifiable item and be presented with the tutorial.
    • Great.
But aren't some of those Veteran rewards?
Yet another way of blurring the line between subbers and non-subbers?
Also, didn't I hear something about the "impossibility" to make those available to us because of characters' models?
(Not that I'm complaining, but I'm wondering about all those other "impossible" things in our list... :-p)
    • Thanks for listening, but...
      Why level-gate it?
Now I have to get on a 15- toon, level it, just so my 40 can see and understand the crafting?
Is it a way to honor your studio's name or what?
Why not just have a video in the Powerhouse, playable at every and any level?
(And yeah I noticed there was one stats / gear video there, but still showing the old stuff...)

(due to the status window still having 2 sets of secondary slots...)

Also, I beg you (and that isn't my type, I'm more of a rage / demand person) to bring back a way, ANY way to be able to select ALL, yes ALL travel powers and costumes to the PTS.
I know it might not be its purpose for you, but please, do tell me why powers, bought on Live, aren't available to me in the PTS?
I really enjoy testing stuff, and I know you want us to mess things up, so you can fix them.
Could we, at least, have the pleasure of doing so in a fashionable way?
(Hey, after all, you gave the Debugger a nice look, soooo.... XD)

I know you wanted to test a coupon system a while ago.
I also know that some TP appear in the box for Devs testing only.
But, come on, make all released powers accessible.
(I'm almost willing to bet it's a binary switch... Purchased / not purchased)

    ********************************************************************************

About the new stuff, I went to the brand new "crafting" trainers, close to the 3 "crafting" tables (noticed they're finally close to each others, neat.
    • First, when I speak to the trainer for Mysticism (where I have a skill of 400), it seems like I have to start from scratch again.
      Is this true?
And I have to pay again all the G to go back to 400???
    • When I click the table I get the same window I can use everywhere in the world to fiddle with my gear.
What's the point of having a table there?
    • What's the point of the 3 crafting school if they do exactly the same thing?

Hard to say how long it really takes. T1 is by far the fastest .. 600 items, if you get 50 at an hour its 12 hours.

T2 i had the feeling its more like maybe 30 per hour, so the 1800 you need takes you 60 hours.

Ok .. thats 72 hours .. so a little over 5 hours per day for 2 weeks.

I doubt however you can run 167 times SL in the same time.

1.) Dodge shows 10 rather than 10% now

    2.) 25% Basic Avoidance?

3.) The block training .... If Defender can provide some details before the boss fight begin, it will be better. Spawning a window during the boss fight isn't a good way to TEACH newbies how to block.

4.) Is it possible to provide some basic critical chance? ex: 5%

You cant because of the lock outs on AP's and Comic Series. This is of course before they implement the QR cap per day. I hear you can pay money to raise the cap though (citation needed).

If you look at the menu items that show up when you click on the C button on the minimap, there's a LOT there that's redundant. (Social opens the same window as clicking the Friends button on the minimap, etc.)

What I'd like to see - considering the R&D item is no longer needed anyway - is having a Tutorials menu item.

There's no reason to level-gate any tutorials. Having one section in which all tutorials can be found quickly is a good thing, because we can now both do crafting and powers training anywhere, we're not limited to certain areas or the Powerhouse, where the tutorials are linked originally.

Go ahead and have the tutorial triggered at level 15, but having it available for anyone, anytime, would be very nice - not only for those of us who have already leveled past the trigger point, but to anyone who just needs a quick refresher.

Hm .. how long do you need for a run ? I don't think i can manage it in less than an hour, so that would be
at least 167 hours, if not more. So even without the lockouts its double the time of the "old grind". The only
pro is that its now accountwide, but a lot of people have also asked to make it accountwide if you've done
the old CTP once to R3.

    Reposting this from another thread:

Today I was dueling with a friend on the PTS when we started noticing that my Force Cascade was missing him quite a bit. After the duel we started doing some testing to see if we could recreate the problem consistently. It didn't take long to figure out that if your target is moving at all that Force Cascade will miss completely. He literally just stayed on the ground a few feet away from me and kept running left and right and FC would miss every time.

We then started testing other attacks to see if the problem was just with FC or with other types of AoE attacks. We found that the same problem occurs with the following attacks (there may be others as well but we felt that we covered most of the bases just by testing these):

    - Force Cascade (of course)
    - Chest Beam
    - Earth Splitter
    - Sub Machine Gun
    - Force Detonate

PBAoEs appear to be functioning normally. It looks like ranged AoE attacks are just not tracking correctly.

I also noticed that there appears to be a similar tracking bug when you try to use certain melee knockups followed by another melee attack. In particular, if I use the Eruption attack from Heavy Weapons and then immediately follow up with an Impale, the Impale attack will miss. Impale charges normally and the target dummy will be on the ground by the time it fires, but it will completely miss. I know that this combo works fine on live because I've used it quite a bit.

Needless to say, these are some pretty gamebreaking bugs b/c they affect a large number of attacks (many more than my list above). This patch SHOULD NOT be released until these can be fixed or you will without a doubt have some enraged customers.

Fall damage is bugged. When you hit the ground you take x damage, a fraction of a second later you take x damage again, and another fraction of a second later you are healed for x damage. The net result is that you have x health deficit, but for a fraction of a second you have 2x health deficit. During that time you could potentially be hit by an attack and killed unjustly. Only the first tick of damage is shown in the floating text/combat log. The subsequent tick of damage and healing is not shown anywhere except in your HP bar.

Are you 100% sure about that? At 250K questionite per TP skin, and 1500 questionite awarded per AP run that's 166.6 AP runs minimum (as Beldin already pointed out :p) just for one TP skin. And that's not even taking into account the likely possibility that just like in STO with dilithium, there will be a daily cap to refine questionite ore.

The way I see it, given the current numbers, I'm probably not going to get a single one of these skins--ever. Its just not likely I'd ever submit myself to that type of grind, and even if I did, there's dozens of costume pieces at 45000 questionite a pop (also a ridiculous grind) to keep me from reaching the 250,000 mark to get the skins.

I emphatically agree with this... Part of what made the grind for my level 1 R.A.D.Sphere materials bearable was that I could, at least, wander around a few different locations to collect them. While doing so I'd sometimes see other heroes fly-by on their way to missions, pick up drops I could auction (or give) to other ctp crafters, etc. It helped me feel "connected" to things, even though I was working on my own little project. I'm not anywhere near as inclined to run Demonflame (for example) 4x per day, ad freaking nauseum, for the same reward. It seems like "less choice", even though the devs say "hey, since you can grind Ore =anywhere=, then you can earn anything from any mission!" Y'know? I have no idea if this is even rational thinking, but... I'm human and reserve the right to be occasionally irrational. There's these things called "emotions", and... :D

Also .. a R1 CTP is just a cakewalk of 12-20 hours of farming.

Now running an AP for 167 times ....

    Exactly

And who da hell runs an AP 167 times anyways? Even if you divide your time between all three APs that's still 55.5 times per AP, and who da hell runs three APs 55.5 times each? That probably amounts to years of regular play*, assuming it ever happens.

*by which I mean playing like a normal person would: Taking time to eat, go to the bathroom, playing other type of content from time to time, and I dont know... perhaps work for a living so they can afford to pay to be able to keep playing the game and stuff, and have a live outside of playing.

I just wonder .. do you get the CTP only for this refined stuff .. or also for the global recognition tokens, and if
how many tokens do you need ?

Vince Offer (The Shamwow guy) says:
Or what you can do is buy a "Questionite Refinement Enhancer" for 500 c-store points, and that will allow you to refine DOUBLE the amount of questionite ore you earn... for a 24 hr period. (No refunds, exchanges or substitutions allowed. Some restrictions may apply. Contact your doctor if you suffer any of the following side effects: nausea, bleeding from the ears, bones turning to jello, or hair loss.) Or just spend a bunch of c-store points on the Questionite Exchange, so you can purchase PREREFINED Ore at 100c-points/10 units. If you call within the next 20 minutes, because you know we can't do this all day, we'll DOUBLE YOUR PURCHASE!!! Each PREREFINED ore unit corresponds to 24 normal ones! Have fun doing the conversion maths! MORE ADVENTURE! YAY!!!

Hm .. how long do you need for a run ? I don't think i can manage it in less than an hour, so that would be
at least 167 hours, if not more. So even without the lockouts its double the time of the "old grind". The only
pro is that its now accountwide, but a lot of people have also asked to make it accountwide if you've done
the old CTP once to R3.

With a lot of practice, and a character build designed specifically for SL, I got my best time down to about 15 minutes.
And who da hell runs an AP 167 times anyways? .

So many more than that here.

But how many time for R1+R2+R3 ?
I have many CTP R3 and it's a lot more than 12-20 hours of farming, even more than 100 hours.
I don't think it's more time to farm 167 times an adventure pack than the old methods of grinding mobs.

    And:
    1) When you farm an adventure pack or comic series for questionite, you also drop mods and new level 40 equipment.
When you farm mobs level 31 or 37 for R1 or R2, the level 31 or 37 item drops have no interest for your level 40 character and you sell it at the pnj.

    2) When you farm an adventure pack or comic serie for questionite, you also have a chance to drop rare costume piece like mask of fool, viper collar, gunblades, etc...
When you farm mobs level 31 or 37 for your R1 or R2, you don't have any pieces of costumes (but 3 perks).

    3) if you don't want to farm, there isn't any obligation to do it. You won't have the travel powers, this isn't the end of world. A lot of forumites said to me that subscribers hadn't the obligation to have all the costume sets with their sub and must pay in the store. It's idiot but this is the same thing, here.
Pay more (because questionite will be on c-store as STO, without a doubt) or don't have. But...

    4) You will have it one day (if you don't spend your questionite) just if you play at the game. Without have the sensation to have to farm it.
If you have the eyes on your total points every day and have the opinion to "must" farm it quickly, there any chances that you won't like this, of course.
But you will can, for sure. This is a chance because i don't see how a subscriber would have all the premium travel powers and all the premium costume sets without buy them on top of his sub, just with play time. But it's an another subject.
It's time of F2P now. F2P is farming with the choice to pay in store for not farming. Welcome to F2P.
