Extend the zoom out?

I'm using a hero with the elec teleport but it kinda fills the screen so i'd like to extend the zoom on my mousewheel. I know the camdist command but that wouldn't be practcal and I have no idea how to extend the boundary on the zoom... anyone?

    there's a slider in the options, isn't there? I know mine zooms pretty darn far away, I can actually see myself now when enraged with growth, and using a super-mag.

    Make a keybind to camera distance. /bind KEY camdist 9000 (or something like that...). And kiss the Earth goodbye.

    I'm wondering why I can't zoom in or out using the scroll bar on my touchpad..

    I hope that's true, that would solve my problems!
