Help With Pet Attack Keybind / Macro

Hi all,

I found a few older threads about this, but I wanted to ask again. Does anyone know how to make the keybinds work for petattack? I know that if you click the pet attack button, your pets will attack your target. And I know that your pet will attack your target if you are already in combat. I'm looking for a way to keybind, or /command (macro) my pet attack to initiate combat.

I appreciate any help you guys might be able to provide. I contacted a GM 4 times and all they could tell me was that the only way they were aware of was in the keybinds menu . They wouldn't even admit that it did, or did not work. Not really sure what sort of conduct it would violate to tell me if the keybind worked, but w/e.

thx

Im not too sure about the console commands, but in the keybinds menu under options, pet command #1 is attack, and pet command #2 is stay. You should be able to bind them from the options menu
    Hope that helps,
    Zero.

Edit : Ok, after playing around with it, apparently, the keybind only seems to work if you are currently "in combat" - i,e, in a fight, or a few seconds after one, but the hud button works all the time.

Second edit: Found it after playing around with the console commands, to bind anything in the global power tray, is
    /Bind <key> PetCommands_GlobalPetTrayExec 0 <Pet bar command slot>

0 being attack, 1 being stay, 2 being passive, and so on across the global pet bar.
But, if you want the pets to actually start a combat, you need to use the command
    /PetCommands_SetAllToOwnerAttackTarget

Which will get the pets to all rush whatever you have targeted if they are in attack mode, but not if they have been told to stay.

    TLDR;
    Use
    /Bind <key1> PetCommands_GlobalPetTrayExec 0 1

    and

    /Bind <key2> "PetCommands_GlobalPetTrayExec 0 0 $$PetCommands_SetAllToOwnerAttackTarget"

To have key1 tell all your pets to stop attacking new targets, and key2 tell all your pets to charge whatever you have targetted, regardless of stance.

Like the previous player said. It's a bit of an odd set up, but you need to physically place your pets in the aggressive role, then after that you can use the pet attack command. The only issue is sometimes your pets go stupid on you and you have to re-aggresive them b4 the pet attack command will work. It's a serious pain in the butt tbh, and for the longest time I would hover my mouse in the aggressive command area and just perma click that as I washed over the mobs with my summoner.

I would love to see a minor change to the pet command system but who knows if that will ever happen.

The issue with this logic is such... you can mouse click them to get them to initiate attack, so why can't you keybind it and have them do the same thing? Doesn't really make sense, right? I'm now assuming that this is a bug, so I just placed this in the technical issues section and will probably repost to the bug section later.

Good luck with that. Not to sound as anything less than genuinely supportive here...But you really think your the 1st one to kick a ticket in on this matter?? Atleast 30 or so fellow Pet masters I know of off hand have all called out for this aggrivation to be hammered down and made to work properly.... I do hope yours makes a diff though. We all would enjoy the less hassle while steering our mob of teeth and claws around the map

There may not be an official fix, but the keybinds detailed in my post work (well, they do now, i realised id accidentally missed out the speech marks).
Heres the specific one you are after

    /Bind <key> "PetCommands_GlobalPetTrayExec 0 0 $$PetCommands_SetAllToOwnerAttackTarget"

Sets you into agressive and tells them to attack all in one
