Not sure if this is the correct section for this question or not. I've been talking about my character with some friends, and they'd like to see a picture of her. I've tried doing Print Screen with no luck. Is there any way I can do a screen capture that I could save and print out? Or any other way to get an image of her outside of the game?

Well if you press the prntscrn button, it should copy your screen to the clipboard.
Just take that and open MS Paint and press Ctrl-V and it'll paste the screen from your clipboard into MS Paint.
Also, if your friends play CO, you can go into the Character Tailor, click on the "Save" button, find the image in your screenshots folder, and give them the image they can load it up in their character tailor and see exactly what she looks like.
You can also screen shot directly inside Costume Tailor to get Shots like these. These allow you to better control Which side you show your friend.
Had similiar issue that is STILL unanswered. Worse yet, I have tried to have another try screenshots and it didn't work for them either. The issue for ME is that it is not adding ANYTHING to the screenshot folder. Period. Thus no screenshots. I thought it might have been just my problem, yet I see more and more having this issue. What Exactly is the ISSUE with the not going to folder?
If you are running steam then steam is stealing the screenshot functionality and sticking ugly UI laden images somwhere. I stopped using steam six months ago when I got my gold so I don't remember where steam does its thing.
Try type this in console /screenshot
there's a way to bind that to a key, but i'm not that savvy.

too bad you can't do that with the character in the middle instead of off to one side.
I've found the Demo Editor to be a great tool for the perfect screen shot. Total camera angle control, FOV control, and you can freeze-frame action shots to get it just right. Brou has a nice guide for it stickied in this forum.
I have a related question. I love how when you save your costume in the Tailor screen it makes a photo of your toon on a background that looks like a Comic Book cover. The only drawback I see is that the pic is way to small and low rez. Is there any way to make them bigger and higher quality?
The reason it's small/low rez is that it's the costume file. It contains all the info of the costume you made. You can share with others and they can use it to make the costume easily.
If you want to make them bigger and higher quality, you need to use your mad photoshopping skills.

No, not really.
But there are some alternative things you can do to get around that.
When you're in the tailor next time, just hit your handy dandy print-screen button. You should get a picture of your character with a similar looking comic book background.
You can also head over to the green room at the Powerhouse tailor and take a picture there. Later, pick up a photo-editing program of your choice (Paint.NET is really easy and fast to use) and delete the green background and replace it with something else.

Is there an easy way to share costume concepts with other player?

To sum up, a Search function will reveal the location of a Screenshots folder. It might be...
C Drive > Program Files > Cryptic Studios > Champions Online > Live > Screenshots
or
C Drive > Users > Public > Games > Cryptic Studios > Champions Online > Live > Screenshots
or many others.
happy hunting.
