Emote chat channel

In “that other game” Emotes have their own channel in chat.

You can for instance type /em hops on one foot for a cookie.
And it would look like
Bob hops on one foot for a cookie.
The color of the chat text would be different so everyone knows it's an emote.

Not only that you can filter out the emote chat channel without having to filter out the local chat channel to avoid getting chat spammed by some emote happy Bob...

As it is emotes are linked with local chat. So when someone emotes while addressing another character, local chat can get spammed. Especially with people that use rapid emotes one after the other. This can affect local chat.

Bob dances with Jane
Bob dances with Jane
Bob sits with Jane
Bob {Null translation}

Emotes getting their own channel would make allot of Role players grateful.

    After searching the forum for similar requests I noticed Nadhatter also asked for the same thing. I hope my post clarifies the concern, and revives Nadhatter's similar concern as well.

    Any way we can get more detail/separation in our chat channel customization? Specifically breaking down the "Local" a bit more. As it stands now, emotes look just like local say. It's rather difficult and annoying to distinguish between people talking and people emoting. Emote color needs to be customizable. I'd also suggest italicizing emotes like CoH. Their emote system was great, easy to separate. You could tell without actually reading what was spoken and what was emoted, and were able to keep track of things so much better. Now we're forced to read everything. Very annoying.
