Hiding Pet Life Bar not working

So I got some pets, a'ight?
And their life bars are all over my screen, cluttering it up.
So I go to HUD options, set 'Show Pet Life' to Never, and lo and behold, it doesn't work. Their life bars keep appearing as if I have it set to 'Targeted, Mouse Over, Recently Damaged'. This doesn't seem to be issue with any of the other options, as far as I'm aware of. It seems like it could be easily fixed. So please do. And I'll give you a cookie.

In the pet tray there is a small arrow somewhere on the border.
Pressing that should open and close your pet healt bar.

I think he means over the pets head not the actual pet bar.

Right you are. Turning it off in HUD options is not correctly preventing health bars from floating over their heads.

okay okay I got on my pet master and looked into this...

did you open up the options menu>HUD>show pet life> make sure that the 'always' option is unchecked

you can check all of the options on that select screen..so even if you picked a new option...unless you

unchecked 'always' it will always show the life

unchecking everything just makes it on target or mouse over--*shrug*

Yes, I've unchecked always. However the health bars don't just pop up when I target or mouse over, it also does it whenever my pets are 'recently damaged', another option which I unchecked.
