I want to move my Heroes

I would like to you guys would add a simple thing, the ability to move my characters around on the screen you pick your heroes. They have that feature in City of Heroes which is like 7 years old. In STO the character your characters are placed in ordered of last played. I have a little OCD and dont like that my Main isn't on the top anymore because I changed toons.

    Me too.

    The characters that I am currently playing the most are the most recently created and are on the second page.

    I would love to organize them by gender, powers, etc.

    Yeah, the suggestion (or demand, as the case might be) crops up regularly.

    I would like the ability to move my toons around as well

    Not if they built in some automatic sorting functions:

    * Sort by name
    * Sort by level
    * Sort by last played
    * Sort by total playtime

    All with ascending or descending variants, of course.

    That would be perfect. :)

    AND an option to store everything in a .txt-File so you can edit it there and load it ingame would also be nice (maybe not THAT useful, but I could imagine that some people would like to have something like that).

    There's already a decent work-around in game. You just delete the characters and re-roll them in the order you want them to appear. Sheesh, I'm tired of the "I'm so lazy I need the devs to waste time on interface stuff" threads.

    Yes. That is a work-around, but it's not "decent". I'm not going to delete and "re-roll" 20 characters just to change their order. And then lose bags, bank slots, crafting, etc. after doing so.

    I too would like to be able to reorder my characters. It does seem that the game brings up the last character you played as though, when logging back into the game.

    This has been a big thing for me since launch. I just hate that I have to delete characters to get my mains all onto the same page. I like having my little eccentric side projects around!

    while I greatly appreciate the changes that came w/ FFA re character selection, it would be awesome to be able to order them as suggested, or have them autosort based on last logged, at least.

    Is there any way to change the "Main Character" designation for use on the Forums for avatars. I'd like to use an Avatar, but the system currently pulls up an old Silver Flame toon that I haven't used in a while since switching to Gold status. It seems the default is to pull the character appearing at the top of the list.

    I had the same issue with an old toon I hardly ever use.
    What I did was change my avatar to none, while in game I logged on to the toon in my avatar pic, changed her costume (I have several on that toon), back here I then changed the settng to "use main".
    The time between playing the game and changing the setting here was about 9 or 10 hours.

    For some reason this changed my avatar pic to what I wanted it to be.

    Cant you just go to the main site, click the dropdown and click "My Characters", click on your specified toon, "Set As Main", go to your account settings,Edit avatar, use Main Character
