The point of this thread is not to promote, or even discuss, any trademarked products that is not included in the Champions Online experience, made by Cryptic.

I am curious about 2 things:
1) Will this be embraced as the creative RP experience that it can be, within the CO ruleset, or will it mearly be viewed as a policy violation?
2) Anyone want in on it?

IC (the rather long prequel)

The rift tore through the dark sky over Westside. A few purple gang thugs ran away at the sight of it but the maniac gangmembers they were fighting stayed and looked at it in awe.
It grew and crackled with strange energies and soon it reached all the way down to the ground.
When the edge of the rift touched the ground, there was a sudden explosion of light and sound and a shockwave emitted from the rift as it widened and spewed out a large amount of humanoid creatures.
"DEMONS!!" screamed one of the gangmembers and they all turned and ran towards the sewers.
But the creatures that had fallen out of the rift were no demons. In fact, most of them looked very much like normal humans. Maybe a little different and maybe wearing slightly different clothing, but not all that strange when considering Millenium City's own diversity.
One person, wearing a brown cloth robe, slowly got up on her feet. She grasped her head in pain.
"What..." she mumbled. "What happened?"
Another person, with a more alien looking face, who was also wearing a robe but a dark black one with much leather details. Stood up and pointed at the woman in anger.
"You did this!" he screamed. "This is one of your mind trick! Well, it won't work on me!"
With thoose words he reached out with both his arms and sent bolts of lightning from his fingertips, hitting the woman and sending her to the ground.
She cried out in pain but managed to raise a forcefield, shielding herself as she crawled away from the assilant.
There was much movement all around them now. Men and women, some in uniforms, others in civilian clothing or robes, all fallen out from the rift, were all moving around them now, taking side and shouting at eachother.
There was still some creatures coming from the rift but suddenly it deploded and vanished as quickly as it had appeared.
The woman in brown robe had come to her feet again, while being protected by her forcefield. She now pulled out a lasersword and with its added energy she broke off the lightning attack and screamed:
"STOP!!"
There was a few seconds of silence as she looked around.
The crowd had now divided itself up in two halves, one half standing behind the brown robed woman and the other half massing behind the black robed man.
The two stared at eachother and the dark robed man snarled dissaprovingly.
"You are too weak to beat me." he said "And you are no way near a masters skill"
The brown robes woman nodded.
"That much is true, I am no master." she replied. "But neither are you. We can do this all day, but I know that you feel what I feel. We have traveled, but not only in space."
There was some mumbling in the group behind the dark robed man but he raised his hand and the crowd went silent.
"Yes... I can feel it." he said. "It feels like we went... Forward... A lot."
They were interupted by screetching wheels as several armoured Until veichles drove in and halted nearby. Until soldiers jumped out and pointed their guns at the various creatures.
"Halt!" an officer shouted and demanded: "Who are you and what are you doing?!"
The two robed figures looked carefully at eachother, both judging the other, trying to figure out if they would dare to divert their attention or if the other one would go for the kill if they did.
Slowly they both turned towards the officer.
"We mean you no harm." said the brown robed woman and extinguished her laser sword, putting it back in the belt.
The dark robed man grunted something to himself, but held out his hands with their palms up, showing the officer that he held no weapon.
Who are you?, the officer said again, eyeing them sceptically. Where are you from?
The two robed persons glanced at eachother again and then the woman in brown robe spoke.
My name is Jessica Antilles she said, and allthough I'm not sure where we are right now or... when... I belive I would be correct if I said that we've traveled very far both in time and space to get here.
The officer holstered his gun and looked at her.
What are you saying? he demanded. What does that mean?
Jessica scratched her head and looked back at him.
It means that we came here by misstake and that we actually belong somewhere else. A place that existed a long time ago, in a galaxy far away.

Allright! So, I think you've guessed the gist of it. RP! RP! RP! Oh and some more RP!
Let's not start wandering into trademarked names or products though.
But you know. The force and all that... Cryptic made an awesome game that we could roleplay this in and since there really is no better place... at least not yet... STILL...
Maybe the ones of us who really like that kind of roleplay could find a place for it in Millenium City?
You can talk to me about it ingame or here in this thread.
I belive it could be fun and if played right, not in violation of Cryptic policies.
We must respect them. It is after all: Cryptics world.
So.. what do you think?

We don't really need to discuss that here, this thread is more reagarding the RP oppurtunity.
There is a lovely thread allready about suitable builds.

tho most of my heroines tend to be supernatural in nature.. demigods, demons, dragons.. etc etc. and ive run out of char slots. but still, sounds liek a cool idea. just thought id toss it in.

Making a Jedi or Sith would be hard on a Silver account, mostly because you cant get the lasersword with any silver archetype. I do belive that the soldier archetype would make a suitable soldier/smuggler or bountyhunter with the proper RP and attire.
Also the Ego archetype or the tempest archetype would go nicely as forceusers, allthough without the lightsabers.
Personaly I'm on a gold acount and have a build that mostly rely on the Force-tree, with an added lightsaber (Lasersword) + a few healing powers from primal/telepath. Makes for a great Jedi with a very high survival who fights mostly by slashing away with the lightsaber and pushing people around with the force.
Send me a note ingame if you are still interested.
I belive that we will be a quite small group, if we manage to get a group at all. It would be nice to to some 5-group runs as Jedi's though

Well, if anyone could adapt quickly to a new worlds technology and become a fearsome warrior within the available means, it would be a Mandalorian.
I am intrigued and a little scared. I belive the term "Badass" was first invented when trying to describe a Mandalorian...

While our current situation calls for a temporary truce since no battle we do here, in this time and place, will benefit our respective sides back home, keep in mind:

Mandalorians were'nt a threat to the republic any longer. After Kotor 2, canderous, the new mandalore, allied with the jedi to stop the sith triumvirate. He then after went out to try to reunite the clans.
I haven't been recruiting so there has really not been much growth. I'm not really the recruiter type and I think a threashold to climb for potential members increases the quality of the SG in the long run.
Maybe I'm setting the bar a bit high though, I'm not sure.
Of course, one major bar is set by Cryptic since you can't make a Lasersword wielding character if you are not Gold subscriber.
It's ok though. I'm in no rush or need.
Oh, I should tell you though that a few days ago, a Sith SG was also formed. "Sith Empire" or "The Sith Empire" I think...
I met the founder. Nice guy. Really. Allthough... you know... a bit Sith-ish...

Sadly, It seems as if we are very much in different timezones since we never seem to be on at the same time.
Central European Time where I am...
Anyway, the last weeks has brought me to the descision that I will cancel my gold account, and thus putting Jessica on ice.
There is just too many bugs and malfunctions in the game. I just can't motivate myself to pay for something that doesn't work properly.
So, I'll still be a few weeks before the current sub ends, so if you happen to be on I'd still love to charge an instance or so with lightsabers swinging.
If we don't run into eachother, then may the force be with you and may we all meet again in the Old Republic.
