As you can see by my handle i made the plunge to lifetime once i saw the many really well done and polished features of CO. That is if i can figure out how to change the color to show lifetime.

I too am an old-timer (46) but without children; I still am one and didn't feel like sharing my toys. :D.

Brief history:

I have played all the D&D series PnP games from Chainmail (late 70's) up to 2nd edition AD&D (further didn't interest me as i couldn't get used to the whole cleric/rogue/paladin/monk/druid idea. I tried Marvel and although i liked it my group moved away and i was left with a nice character sheet and some some fond memories. I am also a lifetime member of LotRO but don't play there much.

Personal info:

I enjoy long walks to the kitchen to get more coffee and the occasional jog to the john. The pizza is just a phone call away.

I plan on playing on a more or less casual basis and hope to find a few like minded, (read: touched) friends here. If you see me in game please sent out a shout and if my eyes don't fail me trying to read the little text box i will send a hello your way.

Welcome to the nut house! ;)

Not quite as an old-time pnper as you (started in 1980), but close! I didn't get past 2nd edition D&D either (however I do still have a huge 2nd ed collection) but I've been a Champions pnper since it's lauch in '81.

As for your green title, click on My Account and near the bottom you'll find Group Memberships, click there and you can pick your Vanguard title...

    :)

Ah much better :) Thanks mate.

BTW i also have a HUGE collection of (i think) all of the 1st and 2nd edition books and a few in mint condition including "Gods, Demi-gods and Heroes" supplement IV for the original D&D game.

To bad they just gather dust while i work night shift. But i will retire eventually, and if i can still read the text, I'm gonna DM my little heart out.

Welcome, Duke! Yes, I remember first seeing the orginal D&D manuals (DM Guide, Player's Manual, Monster Manual) in Waldenbooks circa 1980. I picked up the DM guide and opened the gaming chapter of my life. It's still being written...

Funny that you mention the supplements. A few weeks ago my 2-year old was pulling some books off the shelves (she's obsessed with the images in DC's Kingdom Come for some reason) and she grabbed the Fiend Folio. She was flipping the pages saying "scary", "scary". I told her: "Don't worry honey...when you're a little older we'll get those monsters!" :D
