Hey young'in , 48 here but not a grandpa yet. Welcome aboard.
Indeed, The Atari you see is just an empty brand name with no studio attached albeit with the ownership to the classic Atari 1970's pioneering video games titles. Its infogrames under the skin.
Welcome to Millennium City Attricane.
Ps: I had Atari too!. - Pong, Combat, Space Invaders (which i loved) and Backgammon (which i hated).
I still have the tattered box and console of the wooden 2600 along with two arthritic-sounding orange-buttoned joysticks in the loft somewhere.

You're retired at 46!?!?
You, sir, are my hero!
Yar, wore out many Atari joysticks on Pitfall; ah memories...
I love that there are so many people that are 30+ here. I remember having an Odyssey System and then... the almighty Atari appeared! (I'm 40, for the record)
I've been going by the name Zeus for several years now, and my main character is Zeus Almighty.

Thank you for that...

If you see me around say hi
Yep...our first gaming system was an Odyssey 3000. No cartridges, just a big knob for the 4 games
To Attricane: Welcome to the game!
