I seem to have broken zone chat

While some might say that a broken zone chat is not necessarily a bad thing, I am starting to miss it.

I created a new character and while checking the various settings, decided I no longer needed that FTPbeta chat channel that we used. Since removing it, my zone chat has died completely for my entire account - no zone chat on any character. I've checked all the settings, I've toggled the zone chat option for the tab in question (the original chat tab as it happens), I've even created a new tab with ALLLLLLLLLLLLLL the options ticked. All I see are GM and NPC messages, I've lost all player messages. I've tried resetting chat using the reset button, makes no difference.

I'm stumped. Any ideas?

PS. apologies for the Defender'ism - it gets stuck in your mind after creating a new character and doing the tutorial...

    Did you try clicking "Reset All Chat and Tab Settings" in the Chat Options?

    Yep, made no difference. Can't see anything except system, GM and NPC messages. Nice and peaceful in MC but gets a bit boring after a while :p

    did you ever get this fixed? because i have the same problem. it has persisted for 4 days now..

    Check your whitelists people.

    They override all chat options and have a habit of turning themselves on.

    Happened to me a few times.

    Yeah that was helpful. Whats the whitelist?
    You know so people can check it.

    Having this issue, but only with my Team chat.
