Hi everyone

I just signed up for the game two days ago and have been playing almost non stop since then. In regards to the game itself i must say i am very impressed with its level of customization (both on appearance and character builds) compared to most MMO's out there. i think i will be sticking with this game for a long time. I was so impressed i became a gold member on my second day of playing ^^)

I am quite experienced with MMO's as i have played many in search for "the one for me" over the last 5 years or so. I tend to play healer classes, but in CO i have decided to go with DPS and have chosen the specialist archetype. Any advice on this archetype would be much appreciated.

    Welcome to CO !

    Although the Specialst Archetype is a nice build, you will be blown away by the possibilities inherent to a freeform build.

    Play around with an AT to learn the controls and such then venture into the land of the Combat and Powers Forums in search of a Freeform build that suits your taste.


    Dont forget to block !

    one thing that bugs me about the free form is that it also gives you endless possibilities to f*ck up your character lol. and there is so much to choose from! ive gotten used to the controls now and i don't block as much as i should cos im usually out of range from melee attacks. im currently going with single blade and only dual pistol munition powers. might venture into some other powers that suit my stats at some point,

    GEEZUZ! how many free form builds...??? not even sure if i will ever find one i like with that many :eek:

    Hi Vealow, welcome to CO!

    Although my welcome may not hold much weight, since I just joined myself last week. And like you, I was so impressed with this game that I decided I had found "the one" I had been looking for, and also went gold.
    I also prefer playing healing and/or support classes, while occasionally mixing it up as an AoE damage dealer. Currently I'm playing a custom character based on the Celestial power tree, so many of my character's attacks can heal fellow heroes.
    Maybe we can team up sometime.
