Assigning powers to your jpypad/comtroller

Hi, I have a saitek joypad or controller (not sure what the correct term should be) I'm having trouble assigning powers to buttons on my joypad. I tried going to the options sections but I can't see anything that enables me to do this, I only seem to have the option of assigning it to a mouse button or the keyboard. I don't want to do this at all. The problem is that I'm using a fourth power, what happens is that it automatically gets assigned to my joypad and the only way I can use the power is if I press two buttons at once. Well basically how can I get to decide what button I can use to activate my fourth power?

    Checkout the sticky at the top of this forum, it's an FAQ about binding for joysticks. Essentially you're going to have to bind commands to buttons on your joystick using the text field.
