Chat while loading

I was wondering if there is anyway to get the chat to work in the loading screen? I can have pretty long loading screen from time to time and its anoyying when you see that you missed a tell/party chat disscusion.

    Maybe not the solution you're looking for, but you are permitted to be logged into an XMPP(Jabber) client and in the game both at once.

    This will allow you to alt-tab and still communicate with friends and in-game channels.

    The XMPP server CO uses is called crypticspace.com and the account you would use is your own game account. There are hundreds of XMPP clients out there. Pidgin is a rather reliable application for XMPP.
