Members of the Silver Guard have chosen to use their abilities and become superheroes, but we understand that this does not make us more worthy beings. What each of us does reflects on us all, and we should consider how our individual actions represent the Silver Guard as a whole.

    • Protection: We protect the innocent and those who cannot protect themselves, upholding the laws and regulations of the Silver Guard, the cities we operate in, and beyond. We also protect our values, ideals and standards as well as the image and integrity of the Silver Guard to both the in- and out-of-character community.

    • Truth: We seek answers, justice and understanding and hold ourselves to a higher standard. We stand up for what we believe in and encourage others to do the same.

    • Unity: We are as strong as each of our members, and the good of the group comes before individual desires. While we are all unique individuals we stand as one, facing challenges and moving forward together. We look out for each other and we do what is best for the good of the Silver Guard above our individual needs and desires.


    As a group model, we are similar to The Justice League or The Avengers. “Dark” characters and back stories are only acceptable if the character can adhere to our core ideals. For example, being like Batman is acceptable but being like the Punisher or Spawn would not fit well with our group. Character concepts and back stories are reviewed when an application is filed.

    We accept both full- and part-time players of any type or build into our supergroup. We want to create a community where our members can play at their own pace and not feel pressured to advance, whether they have less time to play or simply like to take their time exploring the game world. The Silver Guard welcomes first-time roleplayers.

    The Silver Guard expects its members to maintain a PG-13 rating in public channels and on our forums. Champions Online and City of Heroes have been designated with a “T” for teen rating by the ESRB, and players are expected to abide by this rating. The Silver Guard is not, and never will be, an Erotic Role-Playing (ERP) supergroup. Mature themes and explicit language are not acceptable outside of private communication. This is not intended to stifle or censor creativity. We simply wish to maintain a friendly and comfortable atmosphere for our members as well as preserve the image of our supergroup.


    Requirements to Join

    A supergroup is only as strong as its members. We strongly believe that our new members should fit in well with the rest of the supergroup, and our recruiting methods reflect this desire. We want to be selective in our choices and take a period of time to examine potential members. We feel that this best ensures the health and longevity of the Silver Guard and helps our members forge stronger friendships within our group.

    In order to join the Silver Guard, the candidate should first register with GuildLaunch and apply for membership to the group using the "Apply to Superteam" link on the home page of our site. As part of the application, candidates are asked to complete a short questionnaire about themselves and their characters. This short questionnaire is required as part of the website application. All applications will be reviewed by the supergroup leaders before being approved, and potential members can expect a response within 72 hours.

    The candidate is encouraged to meet Silver Guard members in-game and make an introductory post in the forums section of our website. The applicant is also required to interview with the Recruitment Officer in-game; any member is welcome to attend. The interview will be conducted in-character with OOC questions asked in tells. If approved, a candidate is accepted into the Silver Guard as a Provisional Member.

    I must give you props on the theme and concept behind this supergroup. This is something that is new and yet original. If you are interested, hopefully one day the Silver Guard and the Blackwatch Defenders (a modern age supergroup in the style of the Avengers) can get together and establish an alliance to truly help defeat the forces of evil which target humanity ^_^. Well anyhow, I'm gonna give you guys a friendly bump.

    Seeing as you are a RP guild, how would toons that walk the fine line between good/evil or even blatantly smash through it to reach their goals fit in? None of my toons are Cpt Whitebread by any means. More like Doctor Burnt toast :eek: lol

    Ah well. None of my toons are crispy clean. Not in my nature to be so. Best of luck to Silver Guard though.
