Hi all from Northern Ireland!
This is my very first MMO, and I bought this because I'm a super-hero geek!
Been playing the game for a few days trying to get a feel for it, and spending a lot of time reading posts on builds, game play, ect., as my characters die quite a lot!
DL the character builder and havent a clue how it's used to help build a character design. Also not sure what build to go for to start with! Tried Gadget/Munitions and have reached 10th level! Have been thinking of TK Blades and after readign the posts on how to build on, I'm even more confused.

Now to the dying a lot part:
For a first character I would suggest creating a concept with a defensive passive. It's nice to be able to shrug off damage when you are still learning the ropes. A block replacer is always a good choice. And eventually some sort of heal and active defense power. The most important thing though is elarning to block, I think.

In the end though there isn't much you can do wrong. Some characters will eb squishier than others. Just continue trying sstuff out till you find something that feels right to you. And if you see that a character is lacking somewhere, have a look at the powers and see what you could pick next power chocie to fix the problem.

And don't hesitate asking people for help in-game

Thank's for the welcome and the advice. Have the advantage of lots of time at the moment, have been playing aroung with regeneration (it helped in the Gigaton fight) but I'm not sure if I want to keep it just for the sake of health recovery. Might give Quarry with Fair Game a go and see if it fits character idea better
