So seeing that many of my fellow Champions have posted a thread of their characters ..I figured I should do the same. So I proudly present to you...my characters! ((I appolgize for the length of this thread))

Lonestar: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v147/Masterhand/Lonestar.jpg

This was the first character that I made on CO...he's the one that I spent months working on, while I was waiting for the game to go live. ((Though I did Beta test the game..I didn't actually make Lonestar until the Head start week began.)) So needless to say his back story is the most fleshed out.

One fateful afternoon Heather Dade, nine months pregent, was exiting from a local down town shop when a crazed villain attacked the city. It was none other than Professor Irvin Smithers, who after having his wife not only leave him, but turn around and sue him as well as being fired from his teaching job suddenly snapped. Smithers was well known for his work in robotics, as well as his obessive belief in the theroies expressed in Mary Shelly's Frankenstien as being a possible science.

Using a prototype robotic creation and a special suit that he deveolped, he laid segie to the city. The superhero Greenbird responded to the city's cries for help and engaged Professor Smithers in battle. In the heat of the battle Greenbird accidently punctured a canister on the robot's body causing an explosion that Smithers managed to survive. Though he was quickly placed under arrest by the police. The explosion released a small amount of the raidated gas that had been powering the robot into the air, infecting Heather Dade and knocking her out before evaporating into the air.

Greenbird flew her to the hospital where the doctors quickly gave her and the baby a clean bill of health. Unknown to the doctors, the gas had infected the baby altering portions of its DNA but other wise leaving the baby unharmed. Three weeks later Travis Dade was brought into the world where he met his loving parents, Philp and Heather Dade.

But growing up wasn't exactly a fun experiance for Travis, having been born with an immunodeficiency he speant alot of his child hood fighting off illness after illness. Upon seeing their son forced to often play by himself, since the neighborhood children were too nervous to play with an easily sickened kid, his parents bestowed upon him the nickname Lonestar.

When Travis was 17 he was struck with meningitis, which due to his already weak immune system nearly killed him and caused him to be put in the hospital. Upon recovering from this illness...Travis learned that everything that had made him so frail for most of his life had suddenly vanished. His allergies were entirely gone and he found that he had more energy than he could ever have imagined. On an even stranger note his Immune system had reconsrtucted itself to near super human levels, making him immune to a number of illness and desaises. He also discovered one day that he could suddenly fly and lift objects that normal people could only move in their dreams, quickly realizing that these were the very same powers that the hero Greenbird displayed on many occasions. He also found that he could channel his body's energy into controlled psyhcial blasts of force from his hands and other parts of his body..something that Greenbird could not do.

It was at this time that his mother told him of the incident that she had been in just weeks before his birth, and of how Greenbird picked her up and flew her to the Hospital. Travis came to the conclusion that the gas had altered his DNA and had, at the same time, some how absorbed Greenbird's powers due to his close contact with his mother. But that didn't account for his energy abilities, his mother however added that the last thing she remembered thinking was that she could not allow her baby to die. This was the final peice to the puzzle, some how her will to live must have manifiested itself inside him and evolved into his energy power.

On Travis' 24th birthday Harold Martin, known to the world as Greenbird, retired from his superhero ways to live the rest of his life in peace. It was on this day that Travis realized what his destiny in the world was, and couldn't bare to think of what might happen to the city with out Greenbird to protect it. So Travis made himself a costume, and using the nickname that his parents had given him as a child...rose up as Lonestar, the city's newest protector.

Nightwolf: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v147/Masterhand/Nightwolf2.jpg

He was created later on in the game..however Nightwolf was actually the first superhero I ever created. I created him way back when I was a little kid, originally his name was Nightman, but then I learned there was already a hero with that name...so I then changed his name to Nightstalker..once again I happened upon finding a prexisting hero with that name. So after thinking and thinking..I gave him the name Nightwolf..having always had a huge love for wolves. As you might guess from just looking at his costume..Nightwolf was inspired by Batman, he's sort of my tribute to that character. He has no superpowers..but is a master of several martial arts, and is in tip top shape and has a college degree in engineering and technology. He is not a rich boy like Bruce Wayne, but having a job in a highly respected engineering and technology company...helps him to afford the cost of his expensive toys. He is my second character, after Lonestar, to reach level 40. He is also the first of my characters to enter Vibora Bay.

Story: Having been rejected from severing in the armed forces due to having failed both the eye and hearing exams, James Allen was devstated. Using his vast knowledge in technology and engineering, James constructed a special suit that heightened his eye sight and his hearing. If he could not serve his country in the military, he would instead serve it from the shadows...as Nightwolf.

Zip: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v147/Masterhand/Zip.jpg

Yeah that's right..I have a female character...I actually have three of them. Got a problem with that? :p . I created her because I wanted to test out the electricity power set as well as the Super speed travel power. And besides...when you want to create your own world of superheros..you need to have some females in there..other wise it seems a bit sexist lol. I like her outfit..though it would really be complete if Cryptic would put the glow effect for the inlay costume back into the game...also she'd look cool with a lightning themed belt.
Story:
Sarah Mills, was your average working girl. She was one of several projectionists at her local movie theater, though the job wasn't very exciting...it was rather easy. One day Sarah was upstairs threading up several movies in the projectors for the next set of showings. That day was anything but average, as a strange other worldly storm had descended upon the city. During the massive thunderstorm, the roof of the theater was struck by a massive lighting bolt. The lighting bolt's energy overloaded the theater's power supply and expelled itself out of one of the projectors that Sarah had been working on. She survived the ordeal with minor injuries, but soon discovered that the accident had super charged her body. Sarah now had the ability to expel electricity from her body, and was also able to move at incrediable speeds. And so she chose to become a crime fighter under the name of Zip, after all according to her: "Its a lot better than threading up movies all day."

Greenbird: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v147/Masterhand/Greenbird.jpg

As you might have read in Lonestar's bio, this is the hero partially responsable for how young Travis got his amazing powers. He was made because I thought it would be cool to have a character who's story was connected with my main character. He's might based..which doesn't always make things easy when I play him lol. Basicly Greenbird, aka Harold Martin, was a top notch reporter who due to a freak accident while investiagating a story...ended up growing green feathered bird wings..and gained super strength.

Glorious: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v147/Masterhand/Gloryreborn.jpg

This is how my celestial character looks now..after I got some help from my fellow Champions with a costume redesign. Originally his costume was a bit dull. As I said..he was created for the sole purpose of testing out the celestial power set after I unlocked it during the Blood Moon event on October.

Story: John Alexander has always been a deeply religious man, rarely ever missing going to church with his family. However the state that the world was in weighed heavily on John's heart, and he prayed every day thanking God for the heroes that were there to protect the weak. Though John always secertly wanted to be able to fight along side them. Because of his unfaltering faith, he was bestowed with the power of the Heavens so that he might take his faith to the front lines and drive back the evil seeping through the underworld with the glory of Heaven. And thus John became Glorious, Heaven's champion.

    American Hero: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v147/Masterhand/AmericanHero.jpg
This was my main character back when I played CoH...though his name there was Super American Hero, because they wouldn't let me call him just American Hero. On CoH he was an Earth power based hero..but when I recreated him for CO..I made him Might/ Unarmed Martial arts instead. I don't have a back story for him as of yet.

    Shadow Hawk: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v147/Masterhand/ShadowHawk.jpg
When I was beta testing CO, Shadow Hawk was actually a male character..and was made to try out the archery power set. When I decided to take Shadow Hawk into the live game...I chose to make the character female..and have her be the original Shadow Hawk's daughter..who's carrying on her father's legacy. Story:

Years after her father's, the original Shadow Hawk, death at the hands of Dr. Destroyer during the battle for Detroit...Heather Allen ((no relation to James Allen aka Nightwolf)) took up the mantle of Shadow Hawk. She now wears a modified version of her father's costume in which she stalks the streets seeking out evil. Heather is deterimend to keep her father's honorable symbol alive in the hearts of the citizens that it protects.

    Tomcat: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v147/Masterhand/Tomcatjpeg.jpg
Tomcat came about when I came across a fellow Champions' character known as Alleycat. Her character inspired me to create my own cat themed super hero. He's a mix of magic and claw power set if I remember correctly. Other than that he doesn't have a back story.

    Lucky Dog: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v147/Masterhand/LuckyDog.jpg
yes I'm sure you are noticing a pattern here..several of my characters have the color green in them. Its my favorite color lol..so I use it when it fits the character concept. Anywho..Lucky Dog..was one of my alts on CoH...on there though he was known as Lucky Wolfie...and his costume was alot different. On CoH his costume was white with a huge green four leaf clover on the chest and back..and a white wolf's head in the center of the chest. I was really dissapointed when I went to create him on CO and found that there wasn't a tights design with a large four leaf clover like pattern. But I got over it when I saw the fur options lol. And as for the name differance..my friend suggested that the name Lucky Dog would sound a lot cooler..so I went with it. He's a claw based power set in CO..just as he was in CoH..but I like how the claw power set was depicted in CoH more than I do in CO. No back story for him yet.

    Pegasus: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v147/Masterhand/Pegasus.jpg
Ok...so this character was born..when after looking at a lot of people's concepts in the forums..I noticed that a lot of people had made characters based on Zeus, Thor, Posdioen, Hercules, and several other gods from both Greek , Norse and Egyptian mythology. And so I thought to myself..why hasn't any one made a character based on just a mythological creature..instead of basing it on one of the many gods or demigods? And thus the idea for Pegasus sprang into my head. I originally gave her inverted legs and hooves in the character creator..but just didn't like the way it looked..so I gave her normal human legs and feet instead. It took me a lot of playing around with different costume tops before I found one I liked..same with the color scheme.

Story: The Legendary winged horse known as Pegasus was always an adventure seeking creature. So when she happened upon a mysterious glowing cave while galloping along the beach, she wasted no time in going inside to explore. The strange magic that pulsated through out the cave made her feel funny, and the further into the cave she got the feeling only got more and more intense. Eventually she wanted to leave and return to her galloping on the beach, but she had become lost...who would have guessed the cave was so big from looking at it on the out side!? There was no choice but to keep going..hoping that she would find a way out. Instead she just went deeper and deeper...that funny feeling in the bit of her stomach grew until suddenly her whole body began to tingle. She was engulfed in a blinding light as the walls of the cave began to melt and alter around her..every thing seemed like it was moving..she couldn't help but feel like her whole body was changing. When she next awoke..she found her self laying in a grassy clearing next to a lake. As she went to get a drink from this lake..she discovered to her shock that she was no longer the beautiful white horse she was use to. She was now a human woman, though peices of her former self remained. She still had tuffs of her white horse hair here and there..and her shimmering white wings remained on her back. It didn't take Pegasus long to learn just what had happened to her. The magic in that cave had not only transformed her into a human, but it had also thrust her into another world...a world where all of her adventures were reguarded as nothing more than myths. Instead of trying to find a way back to her own world and form..Pegasus felt the need to explore this new world..and learn what she could from it. Upon discovering that this world was pleagued by evils much like her own world was..and that there were individuals here in strange costumes with amazing powers that combatted this evil..she decided that she should help out. After all...she never could resist the thrill of adventure!

And so those are my characters..well not all of them...but the ones that I play as the most. I'm sorry that this was such a long post..please forgive me. But I hope that all of you enjoy my creations..and please feel free to let me know what you think of them!

Or you could have the water from the pond turn her also into a shape shifter if you had more costume slots.

The water in the pond isn't magical..it was the magic in the cave back in her world that transformed her into a human and transported her here.
